As the days went past the same things happened. Every night Grandpa would row out into the ocean but never talk about what they were doing. And as for the boy, well I kept seeing him in random places but never near enough to talk to him.

One day I was walking along the beach. It was sunset an it was beautiful. The wind blew across my face as I stared out to the horizon. I felt so drawn to the water, as if it called for me. The waves crashed against my feet. I sat down on the edge of the water and ran my hands through the cool sea foam.

It was as if I was in a trance. I just wanted to be in the water. I needed to be in the water.

So slowly I got up and pulled off my long purple dress and revealed my favourite white bikini. And just as slowly I stepped into the water.

The sun was almost completely gone by now and the sky darkened.

I paddled out into the shallows and moved my arms through the water before diving underneath it. It felt incredible, almost inhuman.

I swam around for a while not knowing the time that had passed. I reached the surface once more only to see that the sun had fully set and a full moon was rising. When I looked at the moon it was like something snapped inside of me. I lost control of my body and I dived under the water once again despite the storm that was starting to pick up.

I swam out into the deeper water but just as I lifted my head above the surface another wave rolled by, pushing me back under. This happened twice more. I tumbled around under the water, my lungs burning for air.

I tried to swim back to shore but the current was too strong. Suddenly it dawned on me. This could be the end.

This pushed me to my limit. I started panicking and thrashing around under the waves. Suddenly everything faded to black.

It was still, silent. I was floating. Until suddenly I felt something press down on my chest. Then a rush of air into my lungs. It happened again. My chest was being pushed. Someone was trying to save me! I slowly forced my eyes open, only to be staring into unfamiliar ones.

It was him. The boy I had been seeing everywhere. I had only seen him from a distance before but now that I got  a closer look, I realised how cute he is. He had deep brown eyes and fair skin. His face was round and on top of his head sat a mop of brown curls.

I was brought back to reality by his hand stroking my hair back. I was expecting him to say something but instead he got up and left. I wanted to chase after him but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I was too weak.

But this experience only made me more curious about who he is....
