Chapter 13: Shopping adventures

Why was I the one that had to go shopping, I don't know shit about what to buy and what not to buy. Luce had given me a list but, as well as not knowing anything about shopping; that includes knowing nothing about the shops.
Luce lives in a small block of apartments which are reasonably close to town and the markets. The one problem is that 'town' is actually more like a small city shopping centre.
Magnolia is known for is picturesque beauty and historical cathedral which, ultimately, bring in tourists and lots of money. One of the reasons I have recently moved here is because it's becoming a really big and popular place which will probably hold lots of opportunities for someone like me.
One of the bigger developments that has been completed recently is a new shopping centre, one you'd find in a big city, so there are so many options for groceries.
This is were my two problems collide.

I don't know my way around a supermarket and I don't know my way round this new shopping centre but somehow I need to buy at the very least a weeks worth of food/ essential shopping.
I don't know how the hell  going to do it.
I can't really call anyone because I'll just have the piss taken out of me so I'm on my own.
Well here goes nothing.
I get out of my car and quickly pay for parking, $2 for an hour holy shit! Well there goes my inheritance (sarcasm is also ways best).

Before I enter I take a look at my surroundings.
People are bustling everywhere. Mums with pushchairs ram past everyone else, muttering apologise but probably not meaning them. I see groups of girls run in to get to the sales and then I also see the creepy men here which puts me slightly on edge and angry imagine if Luce came to get the shopping instead, oh if they were looking at her I'd-
Would you stop thinking like that god, Luce and I would not be good for one another, she's too innocent for someone like me.

Anyway I start to enter the shopping centre. Everywhere was surrounded by shops and restaurants varying in all different sizes and merchandise.
Right look for any signs of a supermarket esque thing.

~~~2 hours later~~~
Well it took me two hours to find the shop and now here I am.
The shop wasn't massive but it wasn't really small, but it was filled with people and I was not going to waste anymore time trying to find another one so this will have to do.
I enter the shop. It's modern and looks extremely clean and welcoming. I grab a metal basket and proceed on my shopping adventure. First on the list are salad and vegetable things which shouldn't be to hard to find but I said
that about trying to find the shop so I should probably ask.

After asking for a lot of things from the staff I make my way toward the freezer section. Luce put on the list pizza, chips , peas, cookie dough ice cream, ice pops and chicken nuggets. Right let's find that.
First off I found the peas, chips and chicken; I then moved on to find the pizza and ice cream things.
Luckily for me they were all in the same section ish.
After retrieving the ice pops and placing them in my basket I went to grab the tub of Ben and jerrys cookie dough ice cream, which Luce told me was her favourite, someone grabbed it at the same time.
I was startled and quickly looked up to see who was trying to take my ice cream, even though I haven't paid for it yet.
It was a middle aged  women with two young children, a boy and a girl, they were sitting in her trolley playing with a bag of peas.
"Um excuse me but could you please let go I grabbed this tub first thanks,"
Umm bitch what?! I got this first and it's the last tub so fuck off!
That's what I was thinking but I don't think that would be the best thing to say.
"Oh you must've mistaken yourself because I grabbed it first and by the looks of it it's the last tub in this flavour so could you please let go thanks,"
To say she was shocked was an understatement, she probably expected my to give it to her because she has children but no Luce asked me for this and I will not let her down.
"Sir please it's for the kids and they've been begging for ages I'm sure you could have the other flavours,"
"No sorry my friend specifically asked for this flavour so I will get what she asked for,"
Her faces turned from kind to angry in seconds.
"Don't you think you're being quite immature about this young man for someone of you age," she scoffed out.
Well hold on a second she older than me and I only just turned 18 so ha!
"I'm being immature well you were the one who had a problem in the first place so would you excuse me,"
I went to tug the ice cream out of her grip but she didn't let go.
"I can't let you take it!"
She screamed whilst using all her strength to pull it out of my grip.
Jesus this women needs to calm down!
"Could you please let go, you are drawing attention to yourself,"
She carried on tugging.
"I saw it first so it's mine!"
What she did best shocked me.
She kicked me in the leg with her god knows how high high heels and trotted off with her trolley, taking the ice cream with her.
Shit Luce better like the brownie flavoured one.

After that fiasco I payed for the shopping and headed back to the apartment hoping that Luce will forgive me in my ice cream flavour mistake.
Well it wasn't my fault anyway so it's fine.
After driving through rush hour traffic I made it back. Luce was probably still finishing off unpacking my things which i was very grateful of and I hoped that this would repay it but I don't think it will.
I opened the door.
"Hey Luce they didn't have any cookie dough but they had triple chocolate brownie, is that okay?"
"Yeah that's fine don't worry,"
So she was still in my room unpacking, why is she so kind?
I started to unpack the frozen goods, stopping to stare solemnly at the ice cream. "Bloody crazy lady," I muttered to myself continuing with unpacking.
"Natsu you've got to see this,"
What did she find something embarrassing in my boxes well, I did have that photo album but I unpacked that so what could it be?
I walked into the room to be met with the screen of Luces' phone and I was not expecting what I saw.

Now that was a long ass chapter but I think it's a nice length for a long story like this and you guys deserved it for all of the slow updates. I might continue to do chapter this length every time you like but I don't know what I'm planning on doing with this story so we'll just have to wait and see.
