*four hours later*

Finn and I walked hand and hand down the cobblestone streets of Wizard city. If I tried hard enough, I could pretend this was a date. I could pretend we weren't in disguise, we weren't with Jake, and we weren't on a mission for Princess Bubblegum. But we were. I knew better than to live in some sort of fantasy, because in reality danger could lurk in every corner.

"Do you know where we are?" I asked Finn, looking up at him.

He licked his lips and glanced around. "Yeah man, this seems right. I've only been here once though."

"Alright then. But I still haven't seen any place called "Ron James's Spell Palace"."

Jake, who was a few meters ahead of us, called out. "Don't worry (y/n)! It's out next left - I think."

He was right. When we turned the street we were greeted by a looming pale stone building with a sign hanging above it's wooden door. There were a couple covered windows, and stone stairs leading to the entrance.

I let out a mini gasp. Finn must of heard me because he chuckled.

He squeezed my hand as we entered and whispered in my ear, "Remember not to act too suspicious."

I nodded.

Inside the shop was rows and rows of wooden shelves, pushed against a raw brick wall. On those shelves were thousands of bottles that were all in different colours, shapes, and sizes. They held mysterious potions and energies. I felt the urge to trail my fingers along the glasses, admire their beauty, but the three of us kept walking. Ron James welcomed us.

"Greetings, young wizards! Are you interested in a spell? Or two?"

"Ahhh yes." Jake replied. He handed Ron a piece of paper with a spell name written on it. "I was hoping you had this here?"

"Tsk tsk of course I do!" Ron whisked around and returned with a dark diamond shaped bottle. It's contents were cloudy grey and sparkling. "This baby right here, this is what you want brother. Divinity Nova."

Jake started paying while I wandered around the store. Finn trailed behind, and I still gripped his hand. It was comforting. I was really nervous here, nervous to be caught as a non-wizard, but the shop was just so intriguing!

"Whoa, look at this!." I gasped. I grabbed a pink bottle in the shape of a heart that was under a sign that said "For Couples".

Inside rolled a purple cloud which appeared steamy and sweet. I wasn't sure how this spell worked, what effect is had, or how to use it's magic. But I wanted to do a smell-test, curiosity taking over.

I plucked the cork out. Finn dropped my hand and rushed to grab the open bottle, yelling "Wait! Wait!!"

But he was too late. The magic rushed out in a purple haze, sudden rose petals falling from the ceiling. They tumbled off our heads as their rosey scent filled the room, along with ylang-ylang an cocoa. It surged through our lungs until he finally managed to put the cork back in.

I turned around after scrambling. There was an expression of embarrassment plastered on my face as I nervously watched Jake and Ron. Jake looked as if his eyes would fall out of his head, but Ron was having trouble holding back his laughter.

"Young couples, eh? There so eager." He chuckled.

Finn and I turned bright red.

"Don't worry, this one's on the house. Since you used most of it anyway. It's only recommended that you use a quarter!"
