"Wow. What do you do with it all??" I stared at Finn and his friend Jake's (who I've not meet yet) treasure. The solid gold coins and gems reflected the sun beautifully.
"Oh nothing. It just sits there really." Finn bent over and grabbed a handful. "Here take some!"
"Oh no. There's no way I could accept that!" He ignored me and placed it in my leather bag, filled with clothes, weapons, and personal items.
I looked up in his blue eyes confused. All my life no one had ever bothered to treat me so kindly. But now here I was, with Finn the human, in his house.
"Let's go upstairs! I'll show you my room where you'll be sleeping!" Finn ran up the ladder. "Jake's here!"
The fact the I was now living here made me excited. Maybe if Finn could contain himself, we'd be able to adventure!
After settling in the tree house, I felt a bit at home. Yes, it was way better than my crappy teepee thing I once called home, and I'm thankful. Jake welcomed me and I was surprised to learn that he was a talking magical dog. Never in any of my hunts had I seen one before! But Jake had to go because he was spending time with his girlfriend, Lady. Now I was alone with Finn.
He sat down on his bed next to me, as I snuggled up to a fur blanket.
"So (y/n), tell me about yourself."
"Well, I can't remember much. But I know I was abandoned by my parents, whoever the hell they are, then trained myself to survive. I think we lived in a cave before that though."
"Yeah the same pretty much happened to me." He reflected solemnly. "Hey! Have you ever played video games?"
"I've heard of them, do you have any?!" I feel stupid for getting excited but I've felt like this all day. Excited and giddy near Finn. It was starting to piss me off actually.
That night we gamed out together on his game machine BMO. I sucked! After the hardcore game session I was pretty exhausted and passed out in Finns bed, but he slept with me. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
