CHAPTER 3

1 YEAR LATER...

ARIELS POV

Beep Beep Beep.

I groaned and rolled over in my fluffy bed.

Stupid alarm clock.

Who invented those things anyway?

I shut it off and sat up in bed. Today was Saturday...

Which means its a weekend...

Why the hell would I set my alarm clock for a Saturday?!

I rubbed my eyes to get rid of sleep, and got out of bed. I reached for my panda onesie which was hanging in my wardrobe and slipped it over my Mickey Mouse pyjamas. I trudged down the steps of my flat and went into the kitchen, being greeted with the smell of pancakes and my four roommates and best friends.

After the little ship scenario last year, I found myself in this house, in the living room with a box next to me containing money, clothes, birth certificates and other documents and things that I'm sure was necessary to have. I looked around the room to find four other girls with the same things next to them. We made small talk and found out that we were all from a different world. One of the girls, Belle, told us that she was a bookworm and read stories, or fairy tales, she called them, about us and our stories. What we didn't expect was that there was an ending to the book. Our book. The book about our story. Our life. It was really confusing at first, because I was a mermaid and didn't understand anything they were talking about. When they explained to me, I was a little bit less confused, but not a lot. Over the next few days, we got to know each other well. We told each other stories about our past life, what we were, what things we would do, our best friends, etc. We overlooked the documents in the boxes, and looked at our birth certificates. The place for our name was blank, so we decided to change our names, and keep our real names as a nickname. This is what we came up with:
