Balto's crossover with a human

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Luke isn't your average teenager, he's special in his own way. I survived my infancy even though the odds were against me. I faced death, and grew up triumphant. I already have a major goal planned, and hopefully I'll be able to accomplish it. I'm always up for a challenge.
The year is 2004, and I've just celebrated my birthday, my family had just given me a funny looking stone.
"Thanks for the stone, Connor" I thanked Connor, holding the stone in the palm of my hand. "It looks amazing!" I added, with a smile, and read the card that came with it.
"That wasn't from me, Luke, it just appeared next to my bed, on a note that said Bring me". Connor replied, hearing that it wasn't from Connor got me curious.
"Well, I think this card might shed some light". I said, reading the card out loud, "Dear Luke, happy birthday! By the time you read this card, the stone that you have would've started to pull you towards your TV, then you will be able to find me. Once again, happy birthday! Sincerly, your brother".
"Brother?" I questioned, closing the letter and putting it back in the envelope. Wondering who this person was, I looked at the stone and followed it to my TV. I was pretty sure that this brother was either Balto or Boris. I opened Netflix and as I highlighted Balto, the stone got very hot, so I opened up the movie.
"Ah-ha! I knew it was you!" I snickered, and started to watch it. It got to a certain part of the movie, where Balto looked at the screen, and said. "Come on! We have a birthday surprise for you" I was shocked that he knew it was my birthday, suddenly the TV flickered, and a mysterious object came through the TV screen, and once again, I heard Balto's voice. "Come get your surprise!"
There wasn't anything better for me to do, so I went through the mysterious object and got out of another screen in a house. But I wasn't human, I was a dog!  I saw Balto looking at me, with a smile.
"Welcome to Nome, Alaska! Like your new look?" He asked me, as he walked up to me.
"Yeah! This is the best birthday surprise I've ever received!" I exclaimed, looking around in my new environment.
"Ya know Luke, isn't that your name?" Balto started talking.
"Yes, that is my name". I replied, amazed. "How do you know all this?" I asked, curious.
"That stone I had Connor give you, allowed me to get some information about you". He replied, "So, how'd you like your birthday before you came here?" He asked me.
"It was ok, I guess" I answered, not telling him it was boring
