Sasha's POV

I had just locked myself in a dark dark room, thinking to myself. I had hardly been eating, but it wasn't just because of Gene, the truth hurts, especially when it's burning your throat trying to get you to spill, it's been eating me up inside that I had noticed that no matter what I did people were always gonna see me as a girl who lost her parents, or the girl that skips her classes.

Aphmau used to talk to people in school, and she used to sound so inspiring, even though she was a potato she was a sweet and generous one, Laurence has texted me a couple of times, genes doing well, he went on a date with Brittany, I tried not to feel envious but I was, the shiver up my spine every time he would smile at you.

The shadow knights are meant to be known as demons, but some of us look like angels.

The phone rang, I hesitantly picked it up, I heard Laurences voice on the other side, it was croaky and dry, no humor, it was morning so I could see why.

"Hey" he whispered sounding like he had been up all night.

"Laurence, when did you go to sleep last night?" I ask obviously curious as I scratch my hair.

"I was just up for a little while hearing gene and Brittany fighting over the phone....they sounded really mad"

"But they--" I start.

"Went on a date, I know, it turned out great but when they got home she couldn't find her lip gloss and started blaming you, it was obviously not you since your at you gene and zenix's house, he tried to reason with her but she had none of it and went home, they called that night and all nether broke loose." I couldn't help but laugh to myself because of Laurences irritated voice.

"Is gene there now?" I ask willing myself to get up and get breakfast. The shutters opened and closed as Laurence went silent.

"Hello?" The other end made no sound, as I called, I heard talking in the back round, sounded like Cadenza and Laurence.

"Sasha get over to the house right now, and hurry." He explained sounding like he was running into a car and driving off somewhere.

I grabbed my long black coat and rushed out of my house, dashing down the street and past the bakery, were I could smell the lovely fresh bread, I bolt down to Laurences when I hear sirens I run faster to see an ambulance, I spot Laurence talking to a guard.

"Laurence!" He turns around and runs to me.

"Sasha" he starts looking me dead in the eye, I look back confused. He takes a deep breath. "Gene, they found him in the woods unconscious...." He sighs and looks at me obviously waiting for an answer.

My world froze, everything in slow motion, I needed to see him, I needed to know he was okay, I was hoping this was a dream, but I knew it wasn't, I soon got a head ache and felt dizzy, I said nothing, I was distraught yet no tears were cried.

"Is he in hospital?" I felt sick to the stomach, why was he out there? Was he with anyone?

"Don't worry, he's in a hospital, just got a call saying he was awake but needs to stay there for at least a week." He looks at me sadly before motioning me to the car.

"Don't worry, he probably just hit his head on a walk" he smiled, using his big brother voice.

I just nodded and looked at the window.

We arrived at the hospital and walked in, we saw patients taking their medicine, and one man had a broken leg, and a doctor was helping him walk, I looked into a room to see a little boy, maybe seven or eight, lying on a bed while a woman probably his mother, reads him a story, she smiles and kisses his forehead and tucks him into bed.
