Skylar's P.O.V:
"Calum, I don't think I can do this." I silently cry into his shoulder so the others don't see me.
"You'll be okay, Sky. He would want you to be happy right now." Calum whispers. "Come on. We're going for a walk."
I get up and follow Calum further into the woods as we follow the path to our destination. I don't where we are going but I trust Cal.
"Do you remember this?" Calum asks, tugging at my hand as we come to the grass area in the park.
"Yes." I smile at the memory. "After we listened to the song you gave me for my birthday, Michael took me here. We laid on our backs for hours, talking and just learning about each other. I remember I was so excited to tell you about my new friend. He was so cute and daring, playful and fun. I really miss these moments." I sigh.
Calum just smiles at me as he pulls me down with him so we lay on our backs.
"But, Calum, I don't want to remember this. It just makes me sad."
"Yes you do. Michael was a part of your life and you don't ever want to forget the special moments that you shared. In fact, you don't want to forget anything you did with him." Calum says, looking into my eyes. "I know you loved him-"
"Love." I correct.
"Right. Love him. And you shouldn't have to let him go. So, don't let him go. He's always going to be right here in your heart." He points to my chest while saying that last sentence to me.
*Flashback*
Once the song finished, I was just about in tears. I can't believe Calum wrote that for me. It was beautiful.
Michael and I packed away my stuff and then started walking again.
"Do you want to go to the park?" He asked. "I would really love to get to know you. You seem pretty cool."
"I would love to." I smile, following Michael towards the exit of the forest.
We found a little spot on the side of the field to make sure we weren't going to be lying in the middle of a soccer game. Chucking our stuff aside, we laid down next to each other and looked up at the trees above us. This was the club Calum played for but he was training with school today.
"What's your favourite pizza topping?" Michael said out of the blue.
"Uh... Pepperoni." I chuckled. "What about you?"
"Definitely pepperoni." He replied as if it were obvious. "Okay, favourite shoe brand?"
"Vans." I replied, a smile on my face. "In fact, I quite like your shoes. Black and white look nice with that outfit."
"Thank you. They're my favourite shoes." He smiled, sitting up to show me. "And my favourite brand."
"Yeah, I like them." I said, tracing my hand over the white base of the shoe. "Uh... What's your favourite sport?"
"Well, I don't really play any sports but I do like soccer." He replied, lying back down again. "And I also play FIFA."
"Ohh, I like that game. I play that quite often."
"That's awesome!" Michael exclaimed. "Do you play any sports?"
"Yeah, I play netball and soccer." I answered.
We talked for hours, getting to know each other. It turns out we had a lot in common. We even went to the same school.
"We should hang out some time." Michael said. "I'd really like to get to know you."
"Yeah, I'd like that." I smiled.
