"The hell's going on? Why are you staring at me like that?" Naruto said when he had woken up from his all too needed sleep.

"You expect us not to stare, when you've been away for so damn long and you suddenly appear out of nowhere?" Kiba asked with an expression still laced in shock.

"And why is she here?" he bitterly asked as he noticed a pink haired girl in the corner of his best friend's room, "Don't tell me you turned out to be straight all for her,"

"No you baka! She really needs to talk to you,"

"I have nothing to say to her,"

"Naruto, give her a chance. We've got a lot of talking to do but it's best we start from here," he said pointing his finger in her direction.

"Fine," he sighed out.

She focused on the carpeted floor, finding it suddenly more interesting than anything else.

"I'm sorry for all I've done.. It was childish of me to act like that and turn my back on the people I considered to be a major part of my life. Please forgive me," Sakura said finally making eye contact with the blonde.

"Yeah, sure... Whatever," Naruto said, "I-,"

"I'm not done," she said now looking Naruto in the eyes, "I did all that because I couldn't believe that...that I l-love you Naruto,"

The room's atmosphere suddenly became very cold. Naruto sat in his place with an emotion very hard to describe.

"You don't do that to the people you love... " he quietly said.

"Naruto... I was in denial and I'm sorry,"

"Sakura... I'm not like you or who you claim you were, so I forgive you," he then faced Kiba, "What now?"

"Start by telling us where you were, yeah?" he asked.

"How did he leave?" Itachi asked with his body facing towards the window of the living-room.

"I don't know," Sasuke replied with his maniacal tone back.

"Hyuuga, we have to find him soon enough," Itachi growled out, "It isn't safe for him, especially in his current condition,"

Neji walked into the room from the kitchen and nodded his head in approval.

"I can do this myself Itachi!"

"I don't think that's up to you Little brother.... You made him escape in the first place," he responded, "don't do anything that will make me chain you up."

He left the living-room in an eerie silence and started thinking of ways to get the young boy back.
.............................................

"Where's dad?" Naruto asked Kiba.

"Oh yeah.... He got imprisoned a few months back for cruelly treating you."

Naruto's smile quickly faded and turned into a scowl.

"Why the low face? You've wanted this for long haven't you?"

"Not like this Kiba.... He made me suffer but I still do love him. He's the only guardian I've got apart from Granny Tsunade,"

"Naruto..."

"Just drop it... Besides, I can't see granny with a scowl on my face," he said approaching the said lady's lavish house.

They knocked on the door a couple of times until they heard an annoyed, 'What now?' from behind the door.

After a few minutes of waiting, the door swung open, revealing the very beautiful old lady.

"What now?!"

"Granny!" Naruto cried out making Tsunade's eyes widen in realization.

"Baka!" she cried as she pulled him into a tight embrace, "I've missed you so much. Don't ever go missing again,"

"I think you love me more when I do go missing," he replied with a smirk, which earned him a punch to the head.

"Come in... You can stay with me for now. You'll be safer."

Kiba said his goodbye's and left for home. He didn't like heading home late, his mum would surely be on his throat.
He shivered as the thought of his mum being angry came to mind.

"Psycho bitch," he said under his breath as the streetlights began to illuminate his path.
