Even after Phil's car was fixed, he took the bus. He wasn't sure why, other than talking to Dan was fun, even though all they did was playfully insult each other. Every week day Phil sat in the same bus seat, waiting for Dan, and ever week day Dan would roll his eyes when he saw Phil. It became a tradition almost. Because of Dan spending some with Phil, he was no longer a complete nobody, people knew his name and that he hung out with Phil, but they wouldn't be able to spot him. Dan but it didn't concern Dan all that much, until one day:

Dan was walking down the school halls, looking at the rust and broken lockers, and cracked wall S due to the foundations. Dan was making his way to his last period, wishing the day would end. He already had tons to do and all he wanted was for this last hour to fly by.When suddenly, someone gripped his arm tight and pulled him into an empty hall against the wall. Dan winced at the pain, and looked for the person who did this, probably a boy, guessing from the force. Panic and adrenaline raced through his body, Dan looked at The stranger and aw Phil. He wanted to kill Phil.
"Was all that necessary?" Dan asked annoyed, crossing his arms.

"Yes, now shut up and let me talk." Phil rushed. "You know the girl I hang out with, Brooke?"

Dan furrowed his eyes and nodded. "She plays... football (soccer) right?" Dan asked.

"Yes. She was talking about you-"

"Are we in middle school again?!" Dan asked. "Because I swear your acting like it."

Phil rolled his eyes. "Shush. I'm saying you should ask her out."

"You're funny."

"It wasn't a joke."

"Then your just stupid." Dan shrugged.

"Dan, please. She likes you, it could be fun!" Phil practically begged.

"No offense, but I'm not exactly sure if I want to take relationship advice from someone who had sex in the janitors closet and got caught..."

"Fine." Phil huffed. "But think about at least think about it. Please?"

"Fine! Okay! Whatever!" Dan paused. "Hope you don't mind me asking... but why do you care so much that I go out with her?" Dan asked.

Phil smiled nervously. "Well... she's my best friend, and been my best friend since, well, as long as I can remember. She's been down lately and won't talk to me, and you could make her happy, she could make you happy."

Dan nodded. "Okay."

" 'Okay' to go out with her?"

"Don't push it." Dan smiled and was preparing to walk away to his class when the tardy bell rang. "Now we're both late."

"So might as well skip."

Again short chapter, I'm trying to make them longer but I do to want to add too much detail that it's boring. Hope you understand, sorry!
