See Through Your Eyes

The beginning

It was a gloomy day, clouds could be seen blocking out the darkening sky. The day had started out with a light drizzle, yet turned more and more ominous as the day went on. Night had started to fall upon them as the streets of the village were packed with fearful civilians as their shinobi friends and family raced to stop or at least stall what would have been a sheer massive disaster, one that was looking to be on such a scale that it would have claimed their precious peaceful little village. A large demon fox with nine tails was slowly making its way to the village with fire trailing behind the fox and the fire was also preceding the fox like a red-carpet welcome. Voices would be heard on the far side of the village to be calm, that their Fourth Hokage would come and save them. The Third Hokage was heading out to stall the fox, while the Fourth was on his way to help.

Yet, before the village was thrown into a panic, they had no clue that the Fourth was in a secret location and he was trying to save his newborn son. His son, the one he and his wife have been waiting for had been snatched away from the nurses that were cleaning up the crying baby. The baby was dubbed Naruto by the weakening mother and her husband was trying to comfort her as a strange man held their sweet newborn son. The masked man seemingly holding glee in his voice as he held three very powerful people at his mercy. The nurses were killed along with the Third Hokage's wife Mira who had been helping Kushina give birth. The masked man distracted Minato the Fourth Hokage by snatching the newborn and attaching paper bombs to the orange baby blanket that the Third Hokage gave them as a baby shower present. The paper bombs would explode the minute the baby hit the floor or would be triggered by the masked man.

While a crying Kushina was trying to keep the Kyuubi inside her seal, the nine-tailed fox was trying to escape while she was giving birth and now the fox was almost about to get his/her wish. The masked man held a kunai to the babe's throat while he lay crying out for his mom.

"Minato, step away from Kushina or your precious son will lose his head." The masked man said as he stepped closer to the table where Kushina was fighting to keep the fox from getting out.

"Calm down! Please don't hurt Naruto, please don't hurt my son." Minato said as a tear slipped from his left eye clenching his fists while feeling helpless.

"I am calm Fourth. It is you the Yellow Flash of Konoha, said to be the bravest man in the Land of Fire. A man whose enemies shake at his name for he would kill without emotion. You are the one who needs to keep calm." The masked man said with glee. He made this legend show emotion, and so easily too.

"Ok I'll calm down, just give me my son." Minato said with his hands raised and in front of himself like he was trying to calm a wild animal as he slowly backed away from his crying wife with his eyes locked on the man holding his only son in his arms. He hadn't even gotten the chance to hold his son for the first time.

The masked man reached the table and tossed Minato's son in the air towards the far side of the room. While Minato was distracted he grabbed Kushina and faded out from the room.

"Damn it!" Minato said as he ran to grab his son from what would have ended his life. When he turned around he saw from the corner of his eye, he could see the masked man disappear with his wife. Flashing to where he had put a locator seal on his wife's shoulders, he could easily come to their location. Yet, he forgot that he was holding his son when he arrived at the location. When he appeared at where his wife was, he could see her on a ritual table. The masked man had just finished removing the Kyuubi from Kushina, she was still weak from giving birth and couldn't fight him.

"You are too late Fourth." The masked man said as he commanded the Kyuubi to attack the village.

"Damn you." Kushina snarled at the man as she tried to rise from the table.

"Strange, most Jinchuuriki die when the tailed beast is removed. It must be because you are an Uzumaki, strong in the blood." The masked man said before he faded away.

"Kushina, stay here and rest while you recover with our son. I will catch this bastard and save our village." Minato said while cradling Naruto in his arms. He handed him over to Kushina and with a kiss to both their foreheads he flashed towards the village.

In a ritual space Kushina, laid back down on the accursed table cradling her newborn son next to her. Closing her eyes, she was glad that she had gotten to finally hold her baby boy. She hoped that her husband would be alright and would return to get them soon.
