It's been weeks since the day Kara and I fought.

Wait no, was it months? I wasn't fond of counting dates.

I grabbed the remote sitting beside me and turned off the TV. No interesting things or cartoons on air. I sighed and lay on the couch, my head on the edge.

I stared at the phone on the table in front of me. I have been thinking about calling Kara, but have always assumed that she is in a bad mood and cancelled the plan. I mean, after everything I've said, did I really think she would forgive me right away? A girl's heart isn't that simple.

But then, wouldn't it be great if our bonds recover?

After minutes thinking, I decided to call her.

The phone, however, rang right before I punch the last number.

It was Kara.

I accepted the call and closed the phone to my ear. It was moments of silence before she finally spoke.

"Hey, Lukas." She sounded a bit guilty. I returned the greeting and unknowingly smiled.

"So... About what happened three weeks ago..." She coughed a bit, probably a little embarrassed. I wouldn't blame her for it; I knew she swallowed her own ego just to make this phonecall.

"I was about to call you about that. You got me first though." I said. A nervous chuckle can be heard.

"Okay, let's get straight to the point." Kara gulped, and continued. "I forgive your pessimistic behaviour, and I want you to forgive my rather... rude and you can say, accusing tone." Silence, then she continued. "Please don't back out from the deal. I have an important reason to why. I want you to continue to help me seek the stars."

"What important reasons?" I asked.

"I'm gonna explain it myself. I will come to your house at two."

I thought for a while, and found that this was a great opportunity for something I've been wanting for so long.

"Hey." I started. Kara hummed in response. "Why don't we talk honestly to each other now and tell each flaws and strengths?"

Based on her tone, Kara was confused.

I subsconciously nodded. "We won't pry on each other's secrets, but we will tell each other's strengths and flaws based on our perspective. Maybe that way, we can understand each other better."

After I spoke, it was silence for moments.

Then Kara spoke, agreeing. "And also, don't forget the rule that we are NOT going to mock, we are going to constructively criticize each other's behaviours. No hard feelings either."

"Of course." I nodded again.

A hum of satisfaction from Kara. "And after that, I'll tell you the important reason."

"Right." I glanced at the clock. It pointed to eight. "So two in the afternoon right?"

"Yes."

"Great. I'll finish up some work while waiting, and you better not be late."

"Who do you take me for? Of course I won't." I couldn't see it, but I somehow knew Kara was grinning. Well, it was probably because I imagined it.

"Okay, see you later." I said.

"Mmm-hmm."

And I was fast enough to hang up before her. I didn't know why but I cheered for that accomplishment.
