"Hey~Nagisa~" Okuda smiled at me as he caught up to me on the steps.

"What is it? I saw you yesterday, what could you possibly want?" I huffed.

Okuda frowned. "Could you lighten up a little? I got something for you." She searched through her bag and pulled out a box.

She handed it too me as I examined the small red box. It had a cute white ribbon on it but no other decoration. After a full minute of looking at it, I opened it to see an original Gameboy Color.

"Do you like it? I found it at a game stop while browsing. And I thought: 'Nagisa would probably like a Christmas gift'. So, I got it for you." Okuda smiled.

I looked at my feet for a minute, a sheepish look on my face. "Thank you. This was the first time someone's given me a present after threatening to kill them."

Okuda laughed. "No worries, and you didn't kill me and that's all that matters."

I gave a dry laugh and placed everything in my bag as I remembered our time during break. We spent our days together and even on Christmas day, she invited me to her house for dinner since her parents had to leave for work.

But this felt like nothing more but a close friendship. Nothing more. Nothing less.

"Nagisa, let's hurry into the classroom. It's getting really cold." Okuda dragged me inside.

We shivered and changed into our slippers.

"Jesus fucking Christ, this is not the right weather to be wearing skirts." I sighed.

"Yeah, the boys are lucky."

I stared at her as she realized what she said.

"I mean, the other boys must be Lucky." Okuda corrected herself.

I forced a smile with an irritated glare and went into the classroom. We were the only ones here.

"Hm, what time is it?"

I checked my phone. "7 exact."

"Wow, we got here a little too early." Okuda sighed as a teacher opened the door. Mr. Kurasuma.

He seemed surprised at Okuda for being here already, but composed himself into his business like posture immediately.

"Okuda, I need to speak to Nagisa for a bit. Mind if I take her from you for a while?" He said monotone.

I gulped. This wasn't good. It was obvious for me.

Okuda looked at me and then back at Mr. K.

"Not at all."

Kurasuma nodded and signaled me to head out of the classroom with him. I took one last look at Okuda before going to the teachers lounge. Inside was Irina.

"Nagisa, we need to talk." Kurasuma had me sit down across from him and Irina. "Listen, kid, I want you to leave the class."

I looked at him with wide eyes. "Kurasuma, I can't do that!" I tried not to stutter.

"Sorry, but we hired you to kill the octopus, and you haven't. You've become useless to us. This'll be your last day here."

I sat paralyzed as Kurasuma tried to stand up. With my anger being out of control I shoved my finger in his face and glared at him. "I am NOT leaving this classroom without ending a life. And if you want me to leave so badly then I can just kill the octopus or you. Either way I'm out of here."

Kurasuma took a step back. "So you're threatening me? What else to be expected from a brat like you?"

I bit my lip. "I am not a brat. I'm a professional assassin who takes pride in what he does." I glared at him. "So I will not go."
