Orochi and mercy jumped with a quickness into the deep part of the river where it was just the right depth for them,under the dozens of large lily pads they hid from the Viking horde,orochi looked at mercy with a gesture saying to be as quiet as an ant.The viking's hounds had picked up the scent of the two warriors,they were walking along the lake bed.

Warlord : This always happens to us  in the battles when all three factions fight each other,someone from our faction runs away like a coward,they reject the possible glory Valhalla,disgrace to our faction,to our ancestors,to our gods!

Mercy : Why do they think they are looking for cowards in their owm faction?

Orochi : The hounds are trained only to find enemy viking tribes,since they are just recently united it is hard to work together,the same is for my samurai faction,even under our new emperor.

Mercy : The black stone legion  Knights have never experienced this disunity before,only now the iron legion is in complete charge of the knights.

Orochi : Here comes more company for the vikings,other knights,up on that high ridge.

Mercy : Those are the smallest knight coalition,the red cobra knights.

Orochi : Will they help us?

Mercy : Considering they consist of warriors from each faction which is the highest heresy then my answer is..........meh.

The raiders and the warlords are ambushed by the red cobra knights,they were masters of stealth and all form of weapon combat,they dominated the vikings and the hounds retreated into the forest.

Commander : You can surface now orochi and mercy,we were all observing how you would fight each other,we wanted to see if either one of you would kill the other or fight the vikings.

Mercy and orochi climbed out of the deep area of the river,they walked up to the commander of the red cobra knights.

Commander : We have gained many new recruits and supporters to our crusade,the two of you would make excellent knights....

The orochi stepped forward and cut off the commander.

Orochi : I will not dishonor my family!I will not betray my emperor!

Mercy : I'd advise you not to speak that way towards the commander of the red cobras,he has a short temper.

Commander: It isn't short,nor would i disagree with him,he makes an excellent point.

Orochi : I must follow the family tradition,and the samurai faction is where i have pledged my loyalty.

Commander : Very well,come to us when either one of you or the both of you change your minds.We welcome any willing crusader.

The red cobras walked off into the battlefield.The battle was beginning to come to an end,at last,for the past 7 hours,the battle finally was coming to an end,the victor would be no one though.

Mercy and orochi walked farther away from the battlefield,they eventually found a loading dock in the territory,both sitting down,taking off armor and looking up at the sky,down the sparkling water,over to the fields where the roman empire marched upon each day,they were growing at am alarming rate over the past seasons.

Mercy : Do you think they have a specific cause like honor or duty or just because the roman gods command it and the roman emperor?

Orochi : Trajan?He is a fool,as for the romans gods,they are no better or different from everyone else's gods,that is why i don't believe in any gods whatsoever,the ancestors and that is all i believe.

Mercy : They march to this song called iron fields.

Orochi : Yes i know they do,I've heard it all before,how can they be so heartless i will never know.

Mercy : What about the res cobra knights?Are they exempt from thay theory?

Orochi : Well......mabye,to be honest it is more intimidating than dishonorable.

Mercy : Good point.....so did you ever have someone else you fought for besides relatives?

Orochi looked at mercy with a painful facial expression....he took out his sword and showed her the engraving on it.

Orochi : My childhood friend,i loved her but never got to tell her that before she was killed for trying to leave the samurai team nobushi.

Mercy : I know the same level of pain,of agony,my best and only  friend in the black stone legion,warden,i wanted to tell him but now he has left me for the iron legion.

Mercy began to uncontrollably breakdown into tears.

The orochi looked down on her dagger that warden carverd into it.

He held mercy close by his side on his right shoulder.

Orochi : A wise man once said,never waste any time on things that can always be done in the future,make that time useful in spending it with someone you truly care about,if you don't then you will always consider time to be thief because it comes and goes,it never waits.

Mercy : Thank you orochi.

Violet : Then you can call me violet.

Orochi in his mind : FIRST NAME BASE YEAH!Alright now don't screw it up!

You and violet stood up and walked for miles until you reached a village,she was extremely exhausted as you carried her half the way to the village,which was near a samurai base,the orochi had to hide with violet in the trees until nightfall came around,the shugoki and infantry left the village for the base.

(Y/N) : Finally.....a peaceful place to rest until morning....goodnight mercy.....Violet.

(Y/N) kissed her on the forehead,and guarded the doorway and windows all knight long.
