Angelo and Pemie left without stopping by the next morning. Their flight was at four in the morning, and they didn't want to trouble waking you, so they left a message with Jake. They had asked him to inform you that they would aim to be back within a fortnight, since it would take some time, surely, to deal with all the legal matters that one had to suffer through when adopting a child. It was his hope that Pemie, being a fairy and all, would be able to speed the process up. A hope you found to be forlorn.
The next five days were extremely uneventful. You lazied around the house and your large property when you weren't at the hospital with Leanna, entertaining yourself with Andy's company in all the free time you ascertained. God you loved him. It had certainly taken long enough for the two of you to find the right moment to be together. In your defense, your situation then had not really allowed leisurely moments for dwelling on your feelings for one another. He was your perfect intellectual equal; a challenge as well as a comfort. You didn't really believe in soul mates, but. . .
"You couldn't have just let it go one time?! You are seriously the most irritating son of a-" Shouted your sun and stars, his eyes alight with annoyance. You cut him off.
"Well you didn't fucking have to leave the stupid cup in the fucking sink!"
"It's a cup, how are you even taking yourself seriously?!" He demanded heatedly, his sexy voice deepened by his agitation. He was incredibly attractive when in a rage.
"At least I'm not a fucking-" This time it was not Andy who cut you off, it was Ashley.
"Holy fucking shit, you two have the loudest fucking foreplay in the history of loud foreplay!"
Leanna's voice chimed in voluminously from the kitchen. "He is not lying! Why do you two need to find something to scream at each other about before you--"
"Shut up, oh my god, shut up!" Andy's face had gone the color of freshly flowed blood. "What in hell are you guys talking about?" Though he knew full well what they were talking about, he preferred not to admit to it. Asking might have been a bad idea though, because the antagonizing angels would surely answer.
"You know," Leanna walked into sight and leaned against the entrance to the room, "when you shout at each other so it gets your motor going and then you-"
Ashley stopped her, laughing so hard you thought he would piss himself. "Leanna, that is so mean! Look at his face; it's redder than the color of your dress."
"Can't anyone finish a sentence around here?" She huffed.
You sheepishly grabbed Andy by the hand and gently lead him out into the porch, away from the embarrassment inside. He embarrassed a lot easier than you did, but Leanna was shameless enough to make even you cringe at times. She was very polite, for the most part, except when she wanted to torture her brother.
He sat down on a cushioned wooden bench and you sat yourself down on his lap, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"We should kick them out," you said playfully. "And live here alone forever and never leave, even if we run out of food and have to starve to death."
"I'm game if you are," he replied with an amused smirk.
"Great," you grinned. "But I make no promises about not eating you if we really do run out of food. . . "
"Whoa, straight to cannibalism?"
"Technology you're not the same type of creature as I am," you pointed out.
"We're close enough." He kissed your lips lightly, pulling you closer to him and running his hand up your waist. You smiled into the kiss, breaking away and kissing his nose before getting to your feet in a business-like manner.
"Shall we go somewhere away from prying eyes?" You wondered, eyeing him coyly. He didn't get the chance to response.
Leanna opened the door to the porch. The smile was long gone from her face, and she looked shaken. "Andy," she said quietly as he jumped to his feet.
"What is it, Lea?" He asked her calmly. Wordlessly, she handed him a letter. You peered over his shoulder as he read it.Hello again, little Miss Biersack. It appears you missed our appointment. A shame, really. It would have been fun to play the game with two sides. No matter, I believe this will suffice. Come to New York City, to the abandoned warehouse you pass so often on the way to the hospital when your slow little minds figure out what's happening. I hope to see you soon, little mouse.
With regards--Cat.
