Claudia's Point of View

Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. There is a barely living dog right next to the bumper of Ace's car. Ace immediately got out and brought the dog into the car. He started speeding down the road and parked in the closest animal. Geez. Kind of extra. He left the car key in and ran into the hospital with the dog. Oh my. I grabbed the keys and got out of the car and walked slowly inside. He was sitting in the little waiting room area with blood all over his shirt. I decided to let him sit and got back into his car and drove to the nearest store.  I got him another shirt and gave it to him when I came back. He was still sitting in the exact same spot as he was ten minutes ago. I put this shirt near his face and he grabbed it and got up. He went over to the bathroom and came back to the room and sat back in the chair.

"I know I might be a little overdramatic right now but dogs mean a lot to me." He said sitting down next to me. "When my sister and I were younger we had a dog that stayed with us and I guess you could say he watched over us when we were staying with our abusive older brother. One day my brother ran over our dog with a car. He said that we were weak and we always had a raggedy old dog around us to protect us. That dog died in our hands and I don't know I've always felt a connection with them. I always feel like I owe them a sort of favor." Ace said sighing.

"I mean we all have something that'll push our buttons." I said as we waited. "Yours just happens to be a really weak and cheesy button." I said pushing him playfully.

"Really? says the girl that cries when ever she gets frustrated." Ace said giving me a look.

"Hey! I can get really emotional besides girls like it when guys show that they have at least one cell of emotion in them. But yours is puppies.." I said awkwardly. A guy in scrubs walked up to us with a clipboard.

"H-hi I'm guessing that y-you are Claudia Wilson and Ace Grant?"

"Are you nervous lad? Would you like a picture or anything?" Ace said.

"Dude that is the most Australian that you've sounded since I've met  you." I said turning towards Ace surprised.

"You two are a lot more chill than I thought you two were." he said sweating.

"So whats up?" I asked crossing my legs.

"The dog that you two brought in is stable. She was literally on the verge of dying. Well actually she did die but she was brought back to life. She was dead for 8 seconds. So yes she is a female golden doodle. There is absolutely no chip or anything, she isn't neutered. Obviously she doesn't shed so you two are probably going to want to take her to the groomers before you get rid of fleas and ticks. She is approximately a year and a half. She isn't neutered so we're gonna need to do that too after she's groomed."

"Yeah no we aren't getting her neutered." Ace said.

"But.."

"That's like taking a woman's eggs away from her." I said.

"Okay.. who will be taking care of the dog?" he asked looking at the two of us.

"Um.. We both will I guess." Ace said.

"Alright," he said signing more things on the clipboard. "Who's going to pay the bills? It's best if I get all of this in advance while you guys are waiting."

"I got it." Ace said.

"No its cool." I said taking out my card.

"I said I got it. You pay me anyways it'll be the same exact thing." he said handing the guy his ID and his card. He shooed the guy away and leaned back in his chair smiling at me while I glared at him. My phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID and saw Logan's name. I accepted the call and answered the phone. Oh it was a FaceTime.
