Chapter Two- Gomenasai
Rachel's mum drove us to London a few days before the concert so that we could shop a bit. Rachel couldn't shut up about the concert, she was so excited. We were walking around the streets of London when suddenly I was stopped dead in my tracks by the sound of a megaphone. "Hi, we're One Direction!" Rachel's mouth dropped ten stories. Suddenly, my arm was gripped tightly and I found myself being dragged in the direction of the voices.
Turns out they were doing a signing right outside Big Ben. Rachel was dying of excitement. I stood in a state of panic. Rachel doesn't know my secret. If she were to find out right here and now I don't know what I'd do. I put the hood to my sweatshirt over my head and positioned my hair to be in front of my face a touch more. I wasn't bloody ready to confront Liam! I never finished my game plan!
We had moved up, slowly going to each boy. Finally, when we got to Liam he of course had to be typical Liam and ask our names, ask what we wanted from him, and turn on his charm. "What are your names darlings?" Rachel melted at the sound of his voice.
"I'm Rachel" she said with an extra touch of peppiness. I attempted to disguise my voice to make it a touch deeper. "Caroline."
"Don't be silly, Clara! This is my friend Clara! She doesn't seem like it, but she's a huge fan!" I wanted to punch the pep right out of her.
"I'm sure she is. Well, where you girls from?"
Rachel, being Rachel, answered the question without much thought. "Where you came from,Wolverhampton!" Liam was taken aback at this. I knew he was catching on to me. My stomach was flopping everywhere. I wanted to get out of there.
"Well, that's very ironic. I knew a Clara back inWolverhampton. She was quite the girl, I miss her a bit."
"That's so cool!" Rachel looked at me with her goofy smile. "But, Clara, it's not raining so why is your hood up?"
"I'm....erm....I'm cold is all."
"Don't be silly, Clara! It's nearly summer time!" She took her hand and ripped my hood off, showing off my true identity. Liam was taking a sip of water and spit it out at the site of my face.
"No way...." No way was right. I had to face my fear right here and now. I have to face the fact whether Rachel will take this easy, or be so mad that I never told her that she doesn't want to be my friend anymore. Even worse, what if she only wants to be my friend to get close to the boys?
I smiled crookedly with nervousness in my eyes. "It's been a bloody long time hasn't it." Rachel shot us both a look of confusion, but we paid no attention to it. We just stared at each other in utter shock. Liam broke the silence by pulling over two chairs next to him and Harry. "Well, come on now sit with us. I'll tell the security guards what's up so don't worry about them."
Rachel sprinted to her seat next to Harry right away without even bothering to ask what was going on. She didn't even take a second thought. Me, on the other hand thought for a second about what I was going to do. It hit me, that Liam had promised me a long time ago, under our special shake that he'd always contact me and never forget about me when he became famous. That promise wasn't kept. Next, I found myself sprinting towards the train station nearby, tears entangling my face. I knew I couldn't face him. It was too difficult to remind myself he hadn't kept his promises. It was obvious that I had to leaveLondonas soon as possible.
I sat on the ground in the corner of the station and cried for a good hour or so. When I was finally girl enough, I wiped away my bitter tears and went to the ticket booth. "One ticket toWolverhamptonplease." The man handed me my ticket. The train toWolverhamptonwouldn't be here for another hour or so. I went back to the corner I had cried in and scrunched myself up.
"Mum is going to be so pissed at me...or maybe if I'm lucky father's home from his trip. He's much easier and more understandable then Mum." My curls had become very frizzed and snarled, but I could care less about my hair right now.

My train had pulled up to the station. I got up and breathed in the last bits ofLondonair. My eyes were puffy from the tears, but I puffed up my chest with dignity and marched towards the train. I boarded the train and stood by the door. They began to slowly shut and the train slowly pulled away. I sighed a relief, but it was soon interrupted by the site of Liam and Rachel. Liam ran towards the direction of the train and found my door.
He was yelling something, but I couldn't hear. I could only hear the sound of my weeping. Tears were streaming down my wet face as the train began picking up pace. He kept running and running screaming to the open windows of the train. "STOP THE TRAIN, SOMEBODY!" With a sudden jolt the train stopped. Just my luck. Thanks people, I thought maybe you'd want to get out of this bloody place as well.
The doors opened and Liam ran on caressing me in a tight hug. "Clara, I've missed you so much. I try to call, but it's so hard. I'm sorry I never kept my promise. I'm sorry I messed up everything. I'm sorry if our friendship was tarnished by my stupidity. Please, forgive me. I would love to redeem myself." I stood there, stuck in a state of shock, tears still streaming down my face. "Please, Clara..."
Next thing you know, I found my arms wrapped around him, tears streaming full blast. "I've missed you as well, Liam. I had no happiness without you. I miss our friendship. I need you around. It's not the same." People glared at us, probably to stop our little reuniting session and kick us out of the train so they could leave. Liam got off the train, extending his hand to me. "Can we start over, Clara?" My hand locked in his.
"I would love that, Liam Payne."
