A while later in the week I was walking home from school with Maddox. Something about Maddox seemed off today though. I asked him: So how was your----He cut me off and grabbed my shoulders while pressing me against the wall. He looked at me for a moment and said, It wasn't the best. I gulped because his lips were so close to mine. O-oh...i'm sorry to hear that. He smiled oddly and looked at me again, Don't worry...I have someone who can make it a lot better. He slid his hand up the back of my shirt as my face turned about as red as a molten lava stream. M-Maddox...this isn't funny. He replied to me, Oh I know...It's not supposed to be funny. I tried to press him back but he only pressed himself onto me harder. His hand was warm, but my body was already burning hot from what he was doing at the time. He slowly leaned in to kiss me as I leaned in as well...A car started to slow as it neared us. He immediately leaned away and looked at the driver with a stern stare. The driver rolled the window down and said: Ease up Maddox. It was his friend Thomas, Thomas was always all over me. Thomas waved at me and I rolled my eye's. Maddox walked back to me and Thomas started driving off. What was that? I said Oh...Nothing, He wanted me to come to a party of some sort. He leaned back in and I lightly pushed him off. M-Maddox no...He looked confused and a little frustrated as he and I started walking again, we got home and he walked up on the porch and unlocked the door and we both walked inside. He asked me if I wanted to anything today, I replied with a nod and asked: what is there to do? He pointed out the window at a mountain top and started to speak: When we were little I don't think I ever told you but there was a huge circle lake on the top of what used to be an active volcano. It's hasn't been active for 1000's of years though...maybe we could go swimming? I began to think: That area had a legend to it...Legend has it that an evil god would rule the lands from the top of that mountain and any who opposed his power would be executed. The main God was angry with what he had done with his people and power and so when he was out one bright and sunny day, His wife was back at home and the mountain erupted and killed his wife along with the explosion. When the smaller God got home he had all of his men executed by his own hand for not protecting the only one he loved but once he was all alone he cried until the pit had been filled with tons of his own tears...and to this day it says that whoever swims in the middle of his lake will be drowned. it was about 400 ft deep in the middle. I spoke up quickly: sounds fun!
