Between the cloaked people was a mangled mess that oozed crimson, broken white bones angled out of the bloodied heap streaked with red, the marrow of the bone seeped out of the erose ends.

Blood pooled around their feet soaking their boots, Isaac gave a strangled cry as his dizzy eyes caught sight of a stained flowery dress that his mother had worn that morning, lumps of flesh now filled it, drenching it as the last of his mothers blood gushed.

Turning the three figures revealed their faces, they didn't seem in any rush to kill the new arrival, they only looked at him with a strange calmness that, to Isaac felt more terrifying than if they had surged at him with savagery.

"is he who we seek?" asked a giant, the brute stood three inches taller than the other two and was built to match. His buzz cut hair held chunks of flesh that dripped blood onto his face that trickled down his cheek and into his licking lips.

His clothes matched the other two culprits, a black cloak that shimmered making his outline hazy, Isaac stood looking at the three but always returning to the dead mess of a mother that lay behind them.

"hmm, yes. But he feels odd as if two are before us yet we can see only one." the middle man said .

The man in the middle had his head shaven to reveal tattoos that lined his skull, his sharp eyes and thin jaw gave him a stern appearance, his eyes stared coldly into isaac as if seeing something beyond the norm.

"it doesn't matter lets kill him." the giant spoke again.

"calm Haz'jael. The order does not send us out to simply kill that is he work of new recruits to further the belief that we are nothing but mindless beasts that crave only power." said the last cloaked one, unlike the other two the third was a woman, her hair was tied in dreads that seemed to be alive in the way they moved. He pretty face was ravaged by a sick grin of villainous.

"Bell, we do crave power. We crave it bad" the giant named Haz'jael chuckled.

"but we are not mindless. We must act cautiously t not alert those fools at the sanctum. Restrain him and take him back to the order." the middle man spoke with authority.

"wise you are Feyrbrand." the two intoned in a servants tone.

They spoke as if Isaac wasn't there or was simply beneath their notice, turning away from the horrific scene of his mothers murder Isaac ran to the front door.

A slender hand pushed it closed as Isaac wrapped his fingers around the door knob, he pulled hard against the woman's hand but the door didn't budge.

Looking up at her ghastly, pretty face Isaac cowed at the malevolence that was held there, her small hand slapped him across the face with the back of her hand, the blow snapped Isaac head to the side in shock making him see stars.

Isaac stumbled away from Bell and through his dazed vision he ran to the stairs hap hazardly, bell easily slid in front of him and send a sickening blow to Isaac's head. Hitting the wall as he fell, Isaac vomited over himself from the pain, hands grabbed his shirt as Isaac's world span, and held him in the air.

He didn't see the crunching blow to his ribs or the low blow to his groin, Isaac descended into a world of pain were nothing else existed.

-Fight back- a voice echoed around Isaac as he fell further into the void.

Isaac ignored it as the world became darker and darker.

-get up, you cant be beat by a girl. Get up- the voice said again.

"huh" Isaac mumbled.

-wake up now. Move!- yelled the voice.

Snapping awake Isaac jerked his head sideways narrowly escaping a thunderious fist to the face, -strike now- Isaac grabbed hold of the thin hairless arm that held him suspended in the air and swung his feet into Bell's chest sending both of the sprawling to the floor.

-up, get up and run-

who are you, asked Isaac in his head as he obeyed.

-I don't know.-
