Stella's Parents point of view-

"Anything?" Stella's Mother questioned through the phone desperately.

"Sorry Mrs O'Keefe, but nothing so far. We will keep you updated." Called the police and search crew.

Stella's Mother wiped away a tear that was escaping down her cheek and whispered, "okay, thankyou for everything."

"No problem Ma'am, if we find anything we will contact you straight away."

She put down the phone and buried her face in her hands. "Still nothing." Stella's Mother sighed.

Stella's Father groaned and started pacing up and down the living room, "she's been missing for 2 hours now. Just think about it, where would a kidnapper hide a nine-year old girl?"

"Well for starters Richard, we don't know for sure it's a kidnapper" She replied, obviously annoyed.

Stella's Father walked over the window and placed his palm against the cold glass, took a look at the darkening sky, and walked back to where his wife was sat.

"It's getting dark outside, the search crews can't be looking for too much longer." He pointed out.

"Right."

They sat in silence for a while, praying that their much-loved daughter would be found soon. Their thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the phone ringing.

The two of them rushed into the kitchen and Stella's Mother picked up the phone, "Yes?!" She exclaimed, an anxious look on her face.

"Hello, I am here to inform you that Stella has not yet been found. As it is now dark, our search operation will have to resume tomorrow. We will start as early as possible, I hope you are doing okay." The voice at the end of the phone said calmly.

Stella's Parents' faces fell, "oh." Is all they could muster.

Every ounce of hope in them died. They couldn't sleep that night, let alone rest. Their daughter had just disappeared, without any explanation, evidence, or good reason.
