I put the phone down, giving it back to Caspar. He doesn't take his eyes from my blank expression when he returns his phone to the back pocket of his white jeans.

"Everything OK?" He asks slowly.

"Uhuh." I shrug, walking over to the stairs. "Back in a sec." I call.

I rush down the stairs to the guest bedroom, slowing down as I reach the door, because I don't want to panic my sister or sprain my ankle or anything.

"Em?" I question, walking into the room and opening the curtains, shutting the door behind me.

"Yeah?" She answers.

"First our venue for tomorrow has been changed. We are down on Cromwell so we have to pack to stay overnight in a hotel, so we don't have to travel to the other side of London tomorrow morning."

"OK." She says, standing up out of bed and pulling her case over, throwing it on the bed.

"And-um." I stutter. "Oh and also, Zoe and Alfie are coming round this afternoon, so can you let them in? Joe isn't here."

"Sure, and good." She sighs. "It'll be nice to see Zalfie actually. Why can't you though?"

"Me and Caspar are going out today remember." I explain.

"Oh yeah."

"Oh and sis." I say, sitting beside the bed. "I uh, I know what happened- between you and Joe."

"Oh." She pauses. She stops moving for a second, a t-shirt thrown over her shoulder. "How?"

"Joe told me." I say.

"I thought you said he wasn't here."

"He's not. I called him."

"Why?" She asks me sternly.

"Because you were upset and I wanted to know what went on."

"Why do you have to but into my business?" She shoots again.

"Em, I didn't mean-"

"No, you didn't. But you did, again. What happened between me and Joe should have stayed that way ok."

"I'm not going to tell anyone, and the fact you kissed is great." I say.

"He kissed me!" She corrects. "And it isn't."

There's silence for a few moments. "Why?"

"Why?" She asks.

"Why isn't it great?"

"Because."

"Because?"

"Because-" she starts. "We agreed just to be friends, and then not even 10 seconds after he just pounced and on me."

"So, did you kiss him back?" I question slightly, afraid of the answer she might throw at me.

"Only after like, 7 seconds." She says.

"Oh ok." I say. "Well, do you like him?"

"I don't know. I think so. He's cute and all, and I would have pushed him away if I didn't."

"Well." I say. "You have to talk to him at some point. But if I were you, if he asks you out, say yes. Because I can tell you like him."

"How?" She giggles.

"We are practically the same person Em." I laugh.

I reach over, giving her a quick hug. "Now I have to get ready for my own little friend, more than friend date type thing." I laugh.
