Mephisto was a man of his word. If the demon told someone he would punish them, he would. If he made a promise to someone to help aid them on their journey, the demon would find ways to do so. It was at one point did the king of Time began to worry about helping humans acquire their desires.
"Mephisto, will you help me get a job?"
"No."
"But--"
"I said no. Now move along, dear."
'He never wants to help me with anything!', (Y/N) thought with a pout. She was currently helping Rin with his chores since he waited until the last minute to do them. The (H/C) haired girl stared at the tiled flooring while sweeping the dust that was resting upon it.
Why was her lover so hard on her? Wasn't he the one that told his wife to get a job? (Y/N) couldn't figure out why Mephisto was so stubborn on helping people. He was in many ways a cheapskate. Mephisto refused to give his lover more than 2,000¥. Not to mention he wouldn't even buy gifts that cost more than 100¥. A groan left the Queen of Time's lips after all dust was swept up.
"(Y/N), what are you doing here?"
(Y/N) looked to see gentle blue eyes gazing at her. The owner of those handsome gems was none other than Yukio Okumura, her brother-in-law, and Rin's little twin brother. She forced a smile on her face.
"I'm just helping Rin with his chores. Did you already get done with your mission?", (Y/N) asked causing a pulsing nerve to pop out on the brunette's forehead.
"That idiot... I already told him I would help him with the chores..."
"Hm? What was that?"
"Nothing, Mrs. Pheles. Anyways the headmaster wanted me to give you something.", Yukio informed before reaching into his coat pocket, and pulling out a surprisingly thick brown envelope. (Y/N) took the stuffed envelope from her brother with a suspicious frown. Pulling off the seal, there was a stack of Japan's currency popping out at her. Her (E/C) orbs widen at the load before drifting over to the smiling face of the younger Okumura twin.
"Sir Pheles just gave me the envelope. I honestly didn't know what was inside."
"Did he tell you what this was for?"
"Something along the lines of being the man of the household..."
'That cheeky bastard.... I can't believe I'm in love with a cheater.'
"Am I a sexy cheater, love?"
