HISTORY
Badminton was originated in India where it was known as poona.the british army officer were very much fascinated with the game,and so they introduced it in Englad as a Battle dore sometime between 1870-1880.In 1873,the duke of beaufort held a law party in his country place in badminton,Gloucestershire where it got its name.
The game grew in popularity until 1895 when the Badminton Association of England was formed along with the rules of game play that are used around the world even today.
