I was monitoring the power usage to make sure no escaped SCPs could pass through the doors to the Entrance Zone. I eventually got bored 20 minutes after the breaches, and sat down in my chair, staring at the switch and it's lever. Then as I was slowly falling asleep, the radio buzzed. I held it close to my ear and listened.
"Attention all Armed Personnel, these are the locations for the following SCPs:
1048, 1048-A, 012 and 1499 are in the Light Containment Zone, not moving from their positions.
106, 096 and 457 are near the Heavy Containment Zone nuke room.
049, 035 and [DATA EXPUNGED] are nearing the nuke room.
173 and 999 were spotted waiting outside 682's Test Room.
Please take immediate caution if you are in these areas."
The security chief stopped talking, and I looked back at the monitor. I was feeling terrified now that 106 and 096 were close to me. It took me a while, but I eventually fell asleep in the chair.
[5 Minutes Passed.]
I woke up to the sound of a door opening. I stood up and looked at the monitor. Everything seemed all right. Then suddenly, the sound of a door auto-locking echoed through my small power room. I then heard crying, and looked out my window. It was something I dreaded deeply. It was 096, The Shy Guy. I immediately yell out "What?! How did you get in here?" Then I immediately exited my small control room and went out near the machines. I could hear that I had triggered his nerve. I was now designated as SCP-096-2. I backed away, but he already charged at me, so I fired a couple of stray shots in the air. He then leapt at me, and I felt a large amount of pain strike my body, then I felt a darkness cloud over my vision. I was in that state for a while, then when I opened my eyes, everything around me felt calm and relaxing. I no longer felt fear, happiness, sadness or anger. However, I did feel one thing; Peace. I was at a peaceful level like I've never been before. I began to rise above the clouds to see what lies ahead for me, completely forgetting the life I led a couple of minutes prior.
