I wake to the sound of shuffling feet bouncing off the stone walls. My cheek rests on the cold pavement and I eventually find the strength to lift myself up.

"Cosmo? Jensen?" I yell, squinting my eyes at the bodies near me. It was dark in the long corridor, which made it hard to see anyone much less Cosmo and Jensen.

But that didn't stop me from noticing nearly fifty children younger than the three of us, shambling around. Some were sitting on the floor with their legs bent in odd angles, their faces dirtied with grime and what looked like blood.

The cries of infants flooded the enclosed space, making it impossible to hear anything other than the thuds. "Cosmo!" But my attempt to yell at him was drowned out by their pleads and the children's weeping.

A loud crack erupts through the room and the walls shake, moonlight pours into the suffocating space. "Hello pretties," the blurry figure purrs,.

The children snatch onto each other, gripping with their pudgy, grimy hands. "Sh," I coo, a sad attempt to calm their nerves. I wasn't sure what they were going to do with us.

"I need the infants. Bring them here." I could view the figure a little better an my belly flopped.

"Jensen.." He looks up from a child heaving on the solid ground. "How could you?" Shock saps my body and I'm stuck in a paralyzed state.

He approaches me, his lean form closing in on my own petite one. "My flower, Aleyne. It had to be done." I shake my head and swing my arm to land a slap on his cheek, but it falls short. I'm unable to move my arm and I cry out.

He will pay for this. "Why? Where's Cosmo?" He tilts my shin up, caressing my jawline with his calloused fingertips. "Don't you dare fucking touch me." I hiss, spitting in his face.

Jensen wipes off my spit, sighing at my antics. "My love for you will be the greatest sacrifice for the Lord Lucifer. I will obtain the greatest power of all the satanic church." His eyes flash and he sports a wicked grin.

"You hold no power, Jensen. You're a pathetic tool who will pay for the sins he has commited." I seethe, glaring at him with the utmost hatred I can manage.

"Pity, you never took me for the Christian scum." He says, brushing a lock of my wild mane behind my ear. "But people do change, don't they?"

"They don't change. Some are simply inherently evil." I remark and attempt to lunge at his throat.

With a flip of his wrist, I'm flung into the wall. The children shriek and cower away from Jensen. "Don't. Be. Afraid." I cry out, pulling myself up from the dirt ridden pavement. "I am no sinner."

"We are all sinners!" He argues, flipping his wrist more aggressively. "I use my sins to gain power! I will have it all!" His eyes I once found gorgeous were tainted with hunger.

"That's the only thing you can get, isn't it Jensen?" I ask while wiping away the thick, hot crimson liquid that seeps from the corner of my mouth.

"I could of had you whenever I pleased, scum," he declares. I laugh, mocking him.

"You're pathetic." I hiss.

He flings me towards the far wall and I hear a crack as my body crunches against the stone. "Fuck," I cry out before slamming into the pavement floor with a loud thud.

"You're worth more to me alive for later than dead, but damn you make it hard since you don't know how to keep those lips of yours sealed." I look to him, trying to pull myself up. The pain is unbearable and the heat spreads through my body like wildfire.

"Why do you want us, Jensen?" I ask, my voice soft and rather gentle for being half-dead. "Where is my Cosmo?"

"Why do you care? You make fun of him at your own expense." Hatred boils in my veins.

"I took CARE of him. I never once truly meant any of my teasings, you of all people know that." I glare at him. "We trusted you and you've betrayed us. Where is Cosmo?" I try again, tears rolling down my freckled cheeks.

With a cynical laugh, Jensen walks towards the back of the room, entirely leaving my question unanswered. Cosmo, where are you? He leaves me broken on the floor, my heart beating rapidly and the blood pouring from my mouth like a faucet.

My eyelids fought the urge to rest but before I passed out, I caught sight of Jenson carrying to infants out of the stone-room.
