Blood Lust {Laughing Jack}

Chapter Sixteen~

I get off of my bed, walking to the door and slowly opening it. I peek through the door to see if anyone was in the hall.

No one.

I slowly sneak out of my room and to the top of the stairs to see Jack sitting on the sofa and I quickly crouch back to my room, closing the door softly. I crawl onto my bed and slowly open the window above my bed, swiftly sliding out of the window as I close it silently behind me.

I fall to the ground hard, making a thump and I quickly rush behind a bush, hoping Jack nor Sally heard it. I wait for a few minutes before slowly moving away from the bush as I quickly burst into a sprint away from the house.

I run through the thick forest, stealthly as I swiftly bob and weave around the trees. I get to the tree line and stop for a minute, catching my breath as I hold my knees.

Once I catch my breath I slowly walk through someone's back yard, going around the house. I am meeted with a normal, everyday neighborhood street.

I walk down the side walk, pulling my hood up to hide my face as I move my hair to form around my head.

I walk past a few people walking down in the middle of the street as they eye me but I ignore them. I see cops right up the street and I swiftly hide in a close by bush. I sneak around the bushes, getting into my parents back yard.

I quickly and quietly run to the porch, up the stairs and I peek through the glass sliding door to see them having dinner.

I sigh almost silently as I quickly get out of sight. I climb up a latter that is leaned against the house, next to my bedroom window and I'm just in reach of it.

Luckily, the window is unlocked.

I open the window and it makes a squeak, making me freeze.

Please don't hear it.

Please.

I wait for a few moments, listening closely for any movement in the top floor of the house.

After a while, I slowly slide the window the rest of the way up, luckily it doesn't squeak again as I jump through the window gently, falling to the ground without a sound as I quickly get into my closet, closing the door as I think about my attack.
