"What to do.. what to accomplish.. what to see.." 

The voice echoed through the lab.. as a pair of aged, yet vibrant fingers danced across a keyboard.. the bright screen of a computer reflected upon his glasses.

 He was a sweaty man, with graying long hair, and an obsessive looking face.. as he smiled and continued to type away in the dark lab filled with Academy City machinery..

There was a suddenly the sound of heavy thumping footsteps, and the man turned, still smiling, in his chair. "Ahhh.. Sunder.. have you got it?"

Sunder stepped into the dim light that the computer provided, looking irritated. "I was.. repelled.. but I do not intend to give up yet.."

"By golly you extraterrestrial nincompoop!" stammered the elderly scientist. "You were supposed to kidnap one of those Tokiwadai Girls.. ANY of those Tokiwadai girls would've done.. It's not like I sent you against one of the three Level 5s... Loud Route, Mental Out, or Railgun, don't tell me one of those defeated you!"

"Railgun, and her partner.. Ben Tennyson, they interfered." said Sunder simply. "A bunch of annoying brats."

"Ben Tennyson you say? Odd, he should be in his school at those hours.. if anything, those Level 5s are terrible at working together.. at most you should've only faced one of them.." said the scientist.. "How very odd indeed.

"We'll have to rethink our approach." said Sunder. "Why not have me go after Loud Route directly?"

"Nuh-uhuh.. remember Sunder, I didn't just hire you to retrieve.. I hired you to assist me in one of the greatest experiments in human history.."

"Given human history isn't particularly long or interesting.. that isn't saying much." said Sunder. 

"Oh just you wait, this is a doozy.. and we must proceed in the correct order and manner." said the old scientist.  "The Kihara Family has always strived for excellence in the field of science and mental manipulation... you and I must wait.. "

"Better not wait too long.. I want to get paid." muttered Sunder.

"Trust me.. the Master always keeps his word.." said the scientist. "Do your job right.. and you WILL get your money.."

"Snfff.. mmmff.. no... Kuroko... stop kicking me..  no... stop stabbing me... oh... crap.. stop shooting me with a Spartan Laser.... uhh.."

Ben groaned and moaned in his sleep, tossing and rolling for a second, before he suddenly awoke. "UH!? "

There was somebody watching him as he slept...

He could tell. Since he slept on the couch every night to accommodate the large amount of people who now stayed here, he always left Mikoto's Gekota themed night light on next to the tv so that nobody would sit on him in the early mornings... and there was a head-shaped shadow in front of that nightlight at the moment.

"Wh-who?" Ben grumbled, tapping his Omnitrix and using the green light from the active device to see who it was. 

Was it Frenda? Vento? What reasons would those two have for waking up at 4 in the morning? Mikoto? Nah, if it was her, she would've snuggled in next to him.. not sat there staring at him..and if it was Kuroko, she would've silently began throttling him...like the last 12 times he awoke to find her hands around his Chromastone's neckless head. (thank god the Auto-Transform function still worked as he slept too).

But it wasn't any of the likely suspects.. it wasn't even Rex, who was least likely cause he slept like an alligator in a cold front...
