Pokemon Ketchum Twins, Indigo League

Pokemon Emergency

As the Ketchum twins rush through Viridian City covered in scratches and searching for a doctor, they both feel something pulling on their shirts, forcing them to stop.

"Hold it! Where do you kids think you're going with those Pokemon?" the woman police officer questions the new trainers.

"They're our Pokemon and they're hurt and we've gotta get them to the hospital right away," Ash snaps. 

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you might be stealing them," The police officer apologizes. "Just show me your I.D.s and you can go."

That stumped the twins. They didn't receive any I.D.s that they knew of. Abby tries to explain, "We don't have I.D. We just got here from Pallet and-" She's then interrupted by Officer Jenny.

"You know, you're the fourth and fifth person I've seen from Pallet town."

"Fourth and fifth?" The sister inquired.

"That means Gary Oak's here already," the brother realized.

Officer Jenny speaks again. "It's very unusual for someone to carry their Pokemon in their arms and not in a Pokeball. How do I know you two didn't steal those Pokemon, especially if neither of you have any identification."

"We didn't steal them. Call Professor Oak if you have to," Abby suggested.

"Please let us through. We wouldn't steal a Pokemon and we've gotta get Pikachu and Clefairy to the hospital. Please Miss," Ash pleaded. 

While the twins were talking, the police officer asks about the red and green objects she spotted in their pockets.

"These?" The twins pull their pokedexes out of their pockets only for the woman to snatch them out of their hands.

"These are perfect. Two pokedexes. These will solve our problem," she exclaimed. The twins just blink and look at her weirdly.

"Let's see," the police officer pokes at ash's pokedex. "If your the real deal." 

His pokedex started to speak. "I'm Dexter, a pokedex designed by professor Oak for Pokemon trainer, Ash Ketchum, of the town of Pallet. My function is to provide Ash with information and advice regarding Pokemon and their training. If lost or stolen I cannot be replaced."

She Hands the pokedex back to ash and then turns to Abby. "Your turn, young lady." the officer addresses her doing the same thing as before with her green pokedex. 

"I am Dexter, a Pokedex designed by Professor Oak for Pokemon trainer, Abby Ketchum, of the town of Pallet. My function is to provide Abby with information and advice regarding Pokemon and their training. If lost or stolen, I cannot be replaced."

"Oh, our pokedexes. I didn't realize they were also our I.D." Ash said a bit relieved.

"I wonder why Professor Oak didn't tell us that before," Abby pondered, 'I also wonder if he named all the Pokedex's 'Dexter' but that second bit isn't all that important.'

"Can we take our Pokemon to the Pokemon center now?" Ash asked the woman in front of them.

"I'll set you there in no time at all," Officer Jenny promised. The twins and their Pokemon sat in the side car of the officer's motorcycle and rode off to the Pokemon center, unknowingly leaving the girl from the river in their dust with her now burnt to a crisp bike.

Meanwhile in a hot air balloon that was shaped like a Pokemon, a man and a woman wearing white uniforms with a big red R printed on the front along with a cat like Pokemon were looking at a wanted poster... of themselves!
