[Jenna's POV]
Being in Japan 6 months pregnant isn't exactly the easiest thing ever, but it definitely helps that Julien is so freaking amazing. We go back to LA tomorrow, but the past two weeks have been pretty perfect. Maybe I can think of a few highlights: our beautiful hotel suites, hiking through stunning forests, visiting isolated caves, picnicking under blooming cherry blossom trees, discovering different museums, temples, food, and most of all, the culture; oh, and getting engaged. Julien somehow got it all on film. The next morning we sent the video to our families. Last week, we told all of our internet friends, and they were just about as excited as we are. It's truly great having such a supportive and loving family and community. So much has happened the in the last ten months... a year ago I had no idea I would be in Japan, engaged, AND pregnant. All at once. Seriously.
[Julien's POV]
Jenna and I go back to LA tomorrow. I'm sad to leave Japan, but we took so many pictures, shared so many memories, and had so much fun it could literally last us years. Plus, I'm excited to get back to Marple and the Iggys. After this trip, Jenna can't travel far distances. She's almost seven months pregnant, and the doctor said she'll most likely give birth early. To celebrate, I have one more little surprise for Jenna.
"It's almost one o'clock now," I say to vloggie, "Jenna do you know where we're going?" She shakes her head and smiles. We round a corner, and Jenna immediately sees the beautiful display. I face the camera towards our view. There's a row of townhouses, and in front of them, there's a narrow river leading through the market up ahead. A canoe is waiting for us by a tiny dock, where there's a romantic lunch prepared. Jenna squeals a little bit, and we walk through a small garden. I help Jenna in the boat, and the driver faces forward. "What do you think?" I ask. All Jenna does is giggle and smile. I set vloggie down on the seat beside me to take a timelapse. I take Jenna's hands and tell her how much I love her, and our soon-to-be little baby. The canoe turns to the right, and we spot a family of geese. Jenna coos at them, and throws little bits of her bread to the babies. "I thought you were hungry?" I question. "I am, but they're probably more hungry." She says, and I just stare at her and all of her perfection.
[Jenna's POV]
The rest of the ride we mainly sat in silence. Not an awkward silence. It was really comfortable, like we've known each other all our lives and more. The little row boat rushed through a crowded flea market, streaming through a river of cherry blossom petals. People calmly bustled through and past each other, just simply co-existing. For some reason that hits me kind of hard. I guess today is just one of those peaceful, sit back and question life kinda days.
