Pidge stared at the beautifull planet that she was currently on. The sky was purple and the ground was a vibrant green. The scenery she had seen in her travels were breathtaking. And yet she still missed home, even if there was nothing much to go back home to.

Shiro walked up to her. They both stared endlessly into the abyss that was the sky.

"Hey," he started. "are you okay?"

Lately the younger girl hadn't been herself. She didn't talk as much and hardly touched her food. As leader of the team Shiro had picked up on this.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

He starred at her concerned. "Katie, tell me the truth. I'm not asking you as a teacher, I'm asking you as a friend."

She was slightly shoocked that he had used her real name, but that gave the question a whole new depth. Slowly, second by second, she broke down.

"Shiro, I want to go home. And I want Dad and Matt to come home too." She sobbed endlessly, she felt so alone now. Everyone else had their own problems, there was no time to deal with hers. Nobody understood her. Even though they all missed their families, hers was gone before voltron.

Katie starred at the tv in absolute horror and disbelief. They were gone. Her dad, who always pushed her to her best and pursue her dreams. Gone. Matt, the best brother anyone could ask for and the person who helped mold who she was. Gone. Shiro, a close friend who reminded her to be patient. Gone.

Her mother's cries were loud. And she understood the pain. What was the point of living if the people you care most about aren't there, and the one who is happens to be more broken than you? Katie knew that she would never find them.

Shiro cradled his young friend in his arms. Pidge didn't know it yet, but he was just as fragile as her. Both were torn apart by the distresses of this universe.
