Allura knew this day would come. The day he would breathe his last breath. Keith was human, unlike Alteans he wouldn't live for centuries. Their time was limited, which made it bittersweet.

"Alurra," His voice was shaky and different from when they first met. "I love you so much. But you're going to have to move on." He placed his hand on her cheek. It was cold against her warm skin.

She placed both hands over his fragile one. "No, don't say that. I'm not gonna let you go." The tears had formed in her eyes and were already coming down.

She saw him slowly pass. No sound came from his lips. Allura's eyes widened with the realization that he was gone.

And now she was truly alone.

Everyone else had passed away years ago. Even Coran had used up his time, it was just her now. How could she rule a planet all by herself?

Keith had promised her forever. As did the rest, and yet here she was. Sometimes things just go wrong, even if it was seen long before.
