Hi guys..
This is not an update of story. Today i came across one issue in wattpad which i want to share with you guys.
Do you guys heard Truyenfun?
It is a clone of wattpad not plagarize site. Clone means that website has each and every letter copied into it. All the published stories are copied there. This is not the only one site which has stories there are two more websites which i came across, among that truyenfun is popular. While going through this matter i came across some facts. Here copy pasting it!
Sites like that are mirror or 'lens' sites. They look at Wattpad through a lens which usually carries their own logo, malware etc.
The Wattpad team are aware of these sort of sites and are working on getting them taken down, but they're usually located in countries that are less caring of copyright law and so can take a long time to get removed.If you click on the site or any links related to that site you are likely at risk of a malware attack, so be sure to do a full threat/safety scan on your laptop/computer/phone.
So please DON'T READ STORIES FROM UNKNOWN WEBSITES AND DON'T TAKE DOWN YOUR WORKS. EVEN IF YOU TAKE DOWN YOUR BOOK IN WATTPAD, THAT WEBSITE WILL NEVER LET DOWN YOUR BOOK.
I AM SURE THIS PART ALSO BE COPIED THERE. I PERSONALLY CHECKED THE WEBSITE, IT HAS ALL THE STORIES STARTING FROM UNDISCOVERED STORIES TO POPULAR ONE'S. EVEN PICTURES, BOOK COVERS, BLURB, VIEWS, VOTES ALL ARE THERE EXCEPT COMMENTS.
MAKE SURE TO UPDATE ANTIVIRUS IF YOU CHECK THAT WEBSITE.
And finally, ALL OUR STORIES(who are writing) ARE THERE. When i searched for reporting i got to know that wattpad is trying to take down the website. Until then don't panic. If anybody know more information in this issue do tell us. AND PASS THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
