There was knock on my door that woke me from my sleep. I groaned and put my pillow over my face to block out the sounds. The knock came again.
"Jocelyn. Wake up." I didn't have to hear her voice to know it was Myra I could smell her which is seriously creepy. She smelled like vanilla and roses. "Ethan wants you up for training. I know boring but I'll be there and we can annoy Ethan all we want."
I snorted into my pillow but it came out muffled.
"See your awake so get up." Myra said dragging the p out.
I forgot about her wolf ears this will take a little time to get used to who was I kidding it would take a lot of time. I heard my door open and someone jumped on me. I screamed, kicking my legs and flailing my arms around.
"Myra." I yelled.
She laughed, rolling off me and onto her back staring at the ceiling. I turned on my side to look at her she was still smiling. I know I haven't known her for long but I really like her and I hope we will be friends. I laughed. She followed me and turned on her side facing me.
"What?" She asked, smiling that carefree smile.
"I was just thinking how my best friend, Hanna and my sister, Jasmine would love you." I told her.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah." I smiled.
She smiled back, happily.
"I can't wait to meet them then." She said.
My head shot towards the door, hearing footsteps coming down the hallway. The footsteps sounded like it was right in front of the door but it was all the way down the hall. I closed my eyes listening and I was able to make out voices.
"Why are you teaching the new girl?" It was an unfamiliar girls voice.
"Because Laura, she's new and if she doesn't learn control then she might kill someone." Ethan hissed.
My eyes snapped open when I heard Ethan. Myra looked at me confused. I didn't bother explaining to her and I stayed listening to Ethan and the girl, Laura.
"So it's not your problem, Ethan. She's not your problem." Laura said. "Let one of the trainers deal with her."
"If she kills someone she will be my problem." Ethan sighed. "Look, the alpha picked Jocelyn for a reason and I'm going to figure out why."
"Whatever." Laura snapped, stomping away.
I stopped listening, feeling guilty for eavesdropping.
"Your brother's coming." I told Myra, getting up.
Myra sat up. "I brought you training clothes. They're on the chair."
There was a pile of clothes on the chair in the corner of the room.
"Make sure your brother doesn't come in so I can change." I said.
"Okie dokie." She jumped from the bed leaving the room and shutting the door behind her.
I undressed leaving me in my bra and underwear. I looked in my full length mirror looking at where my bite mark was. I ran my fingers over the smooth healed skin. I was a different girl, not just because I wasn't fully human anymore, but I looked different. My skin looked tanner, my hair was waiver and I didn't have glasses. I didn't look like nerdy Jocelyn, I looked better then ever. Maybe being a werewolf won't be so bad. I grabbed the clothes Myra got and put them on. It was leggings and a long black t-shirt with tennis shoes. I brushed my hair back and pulled it into a ponytail. I sighed. I don't know if I'm ready for this.
