Harry

"Harry," I hear as I walk to my regular seat at lunch. I turn around to see who it was, surprised that it's Jack. I groan, "What do you want Jack?" I ask him, I'd like to go back to our table, even if I'm alone. It's better than talking to anyone else. I've realised how much better it is to talk to someone like Kathy. You don't hear stories about parties and getting drunk and the cool stuff you missed, You hear a beautiful girl sharing her stories, laughing, smiling, singing, dancing. It's better than your hookah, really.
It's beautiful. "Where's your girlfriend?" He smirks. I place my plate down and sit at my table. He joins me seconds later. "She's poorly, She stayed home." I explain. I take a spoonful of mashed potatoes in my mouth. "She's ill? Well that's too bad," He sighs, trying to care. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to eat," I point to my plate. He looks at me before answering. "Come sit with us," I only shake my head, not interested. "That wasn't a question," He stands up and I groan as I follow him to my old table. "Welcome Back, Styles," I give them a small smile and just keep eating my food as if I were still alone. I take out my phone and text Kathy.

*Are you awake? I miss you*

I leave my phone on the table, not caring if the counsellors see. I take another spoonful of mashed potatoes and wait for a response. I hear the buzz and immediately take the phone.

*Yeah, I'm awake. I miss you too. So much that I had to rest in your bed instead of mine.*

I smile and begin to type back.
"What are you smiling at, Harry?"
Aaron, one of jack's friends asks me. "Just texting someone," I shrug like it's no big deal, but it really is. "Who? Kathy?" The girls giggle at what I'm guessing is a joke? "Yeah and maybe if you weren't cheating on your girlfriend with 6 other girls, maybe you'd find someone like her," I get up and throw the plate away and walk outside and continue to finish my text.

*Aww Babe. Wait, can I call you that?*

I'm not sure of what we are, but we're more than friends, I'll tell you that.

*Call me what?*

*Babe*

*Oh haha. Yeah. I kinda like that.*

*Maybe you should start calling me that too, babe.*

*Okay, babe :)*

I call her. I want to hear her say it to me, to call me babe.

"Hey Babe," I smile, there's what I wanted. I didn't even need to ask.
"Call me that again," I tell her. "Babe," My heart skips a beat. "Now you call me babe," she tells me. "Babe," She giggles. "When you say it, it's cute," I can imagine her covering her face with one hand as she giggles. "When you say it, I fall for you even more," I say.
There's a pause of silence. "What are we, Harry?" She sort of whispers. I lean against a tree. "I don't know," I sigh. "I don't want to be just friends anymore, Kathy. I love you," I didn't know what love meant until I met her. "What would you say if I could make you the happiest girl in the world?" I ask her. "I already am," I blush.
"Even if I feel a bit ill, I'm happy. Because of you," My heart skips two beats. "I'd marry you if I could. But for now, how about you become my girlfriend?" I ask her.
"Well, I mean why not? We practically are together," I nod even though she can't see. "Just wanted to make it official, babe."
She giggles again. God, I can't wait to see her at home.
