A few days later....

"Alright, so, here's the plan," King announced as he placed a map, a bag, and a collection of folders on the table. You and most of the Blue Birds' members were standing around it, looking at Joe. Ryan stood behind him, his arms crossed over his chest and his gaze passing over everyone in the room.

Joe pulled out a few papers out of folders. "As you all know, during these past few days, Ryan had more visions about the prison and, with the help of the guys back there, was able to somewhat map it out." He looked at everyone who glanced over at Ryan.

During the week that followed your last visit at the prison, when you first saw Patrick after he got injected the Novocaine, you, King, Ryan, and other members of the Blue Birds worked on a plan to get Patrick and the rest of the guys out of the prison.

In just a few days, Ryan was able to control the Novocaine, or at least, able to recognize when it was starting to take control and stop it just before things got out of control.

Patrick, on the other hand, had a harder time controlling it. The fact that he was surrounded by guards that he despised didn't really help with the Novocaine. Just seeing them made him mad, and he almost completely lost control a few times. If the guys weren't there to calm him down, he would've attacked every guard he saw.

Maybe then the Syndicate would've realized there was a problem with the Novocaine - that the thing they thought was just a simple side effect was actually way bigger, and that they had created weapons against themselves.

Maybe this was what they wanted.

During your visits with Patrick, you asked him for more details about his dreams and for some plans or sketches of the prison. He did some drawings on napkins that he'd hide in the sleeves of his orange jumpsuit until he saw you so he wouldn't get caught. You kept telling him he would leave soon, and every time you visited him, he believed it a little more.

"It's all gonna happen during the night so we don't have to worry about the guards," King said once he finished explaining what you all had to do, "There won't be as many guards by then." Everyone nodded as Joe pulled a mask out of the bag. It was some kind of hockey mask with black paint on one half that looked like the American flag.

"We're all gonna wear one, so the Syndicate won't know who is who. They won't recognize Ryan or any of us that they've seen before." The Blue Birds standing around the table nodded as Alex, who stood next to Joe, picked up the bag and distributed the masks, giving one to everyone.

Ryan was the last one to get his mask. Once he had it in his hands, he stared at it, remembering that one dream he had. It was the exact same image.

"Hey," Joe spoke up, placing a hand on Ryan's shoulder and pulling him out of the daze he'd fallen into.

The dirty blond shook his head and looked at Joe, raising his eyebrows.

"Ready for tomorrow?" King asked, looking into Ryan's blue eyes.

Ryan looked down at the mask and nodded slowly. "Yeah."

Joe tilted his head and knit his eyebrows together. "Is everything okay?" He asked, worry lacing his voice.

"Yeah, yeah," Ryan replied, shaking his head, "It's just, this mask-"

"What about it?" He cut him short, stepping a little closer.

"Nothing, but like, it's the same one that I saw in one of my dreams," He explained.

"Well, that's good. It must mean we're on the right path, right?" The black haired man suggested, looking relieved.

Ryan flashed him a small smile. "Yeah."

King nodded and smiled in return, patting his friend's shoulder before leaving his side.

Ryan started walking away when he suddenly stopped in his tracks, something flashing before his mind. It was the mask, on the ground, laying in a small puddle of blood.

He took some time to register what happened then turned around, looking for Joe. He was just a few feet away from him.

He opened his mouth to call him but didn't say a word. He couldn't let this ruin everything. He thought that maybe it wasn't anything important, nothing too bad. This blood could belong to anybody, he thought. It could be one of the Blue Birds, like it could be the Syndicate. So he just turned on his heels and walked away, trying to forget about what he just saw.

A/N: Wanted to let you know that I won't be able to upload next week, and maybe the week after too. I'm so sorry.
