After dropping Emmetts stuff off at the house we headed to school. We pulled into school and Emmett came and opened my door for me. People stopped and stared at us surprised that I had let another being touch me. Kate stood with my parents waiting on the school steps. My mom was still bouncing with excitement and my father had a warm knowing smile on his face, he looked toward Emmett who had his arm around my shoulder and nodded in acceptance and respect. Emmett smiled and nodded back. Once we reached the stairs my mom ambushed me squeezing me tightly to her body and gushing about how happy she was for us. I knew they could feel the dark waves of magic our baby gave off. Kate stood back smiling at me and winked, she laughed as I blew a kiss to her and caught it. My father chuckled as he watched our display of silliness. Then he went up to Emmett and gave him a man hug. "Welcome to the family," dad said. "Thank you Mr.Branwen," Emmett said. "Call me dad or Ezra," dad said. "And you can call me mom or Scarlett," my mom said smiling. "And you can call me sis or Kate," she said. I mouthed a thank you to all of them and we continued or way to our classes. Mom and Dad had also enrolled since they looked young and they wanted to spend more time with us. When lunch rolled around I was hungry and not just for human food. I couldn't stop looking at people's necks as I heard the blood pumping through their veins. As me and Kate made our way to lunch stared at people who passed us. "Izzy are you ok, you're being quiet?" Kate asked looking at me worried. "Im hungry," I said giggling a little. She giggled to knowing exactly what I was talking about, then she reached into her shoulder bag and pulled out. thermos. "Here mom told me to give you this when you started getting hungry, she got it fresh this morning on the way to school," she said handing me the thermos. I took it in appreciation and twisted the cap off. Suddenly the smell of blood hit my nose and I sighed with happiness. I started sipping from the large thermos as we walked through the cafeteria doors. When I looked across the room I saw Emmett sitting with my parents also with a thermos of his own. He looked up and smiled lovingly at me as we neared the table, then stood to give me a kiss and pulled out chairs for both me and Kate. After he sat back down he put his arm on the back of my chair and we saluted our thermoses. "Thanks mom for the drink, I was starting to get hungry at the end of last period," I said smiling. "You're welcome baby girl, I read in the journals that you would start having cravings about now so we made a quick stop on the way to school, to get some for you and Emmett," she said popping a fry into her mouth. When dad tried to take one of her fries she popped his hand and we laughed at his puppy dog face. She gave in and let him have some fries. Everything was going fine until Kate's hand bumped mine and I was sucked into a tranc-like state I could only describe as a vision. A man emerged from the forest surrounding the school as students made their way to their vehicles. His eyes a crimson red trained on Kate as she walked next to me, his eyes shined with a passionate love as he watched her laugh. He seemed tempted to go to her but saw other around her that radiated power. He started growing wary until he saw that one of the males around her was none other than Emmett Cullen. After most of the humans were gone he made his way over to the group. Emmett noticed another vampire near and looked around. He was surprised to see the other vampire male whom he hadn't seen in decades. "Garrett?" I was sucked out of the vision when Emmett started shaking me. "Izzy are you ok?" he asked worried. I couldn't help but smile at him and kiss his lips. "Im fine Emmy Bear but I think I just had a vision," I said looking at my parents. "What was it about?" dad asked. "Kate....well not directly, it was about another vampire, he was watching her, don't be worried it wasn't in a dangerous way, it was a longing look, he stared at her like she was the only one he saw, he was wary to approach her because we were there but then he saw Emmett and he decided it was ok," I explained. "Why me?" he asked. "You seemed to know him, you said his name when you saw him," I said. "What was his name?" he asked. "Garrett." "Garrett that fucker, I haven't seen him in decades, don't worry he's no danger Kate, he's always lived by a moral, he dos'nt feed from women or children," he explained with a goofy smile. "So we've established that he isn't a threat, but that dos'nt explain why he's here besides the fact that he's Emmetts friend," mom said. "I think I know why..... in the vision it was like I could feel what he was feeling when he looked at Kate he wanted to go to her , it seemed he had already fallen in love with that one glance, and he was wary of her being around us because of the power we radiated, I don't know about you guys but....I think he might be Kate's mate."
