Erica never understood why her father went crazy that night ,but she was aware that her father had a bipolar disorder. Erica was led to the locked room so officer Harvey could get to work. She explained to the police that her father meds had been switched a couple months ago. Erica confirmed with the police that the doctor switched his meds due to recent spasms. Her father's spasms caused him to loose his job, and friends. She also was aware that her father had been drinking while taking his meds. " Sir let me just tell you this, you don't know my father like I do!" "You're right!" officer Harvey replied to Erica. My job isn't about how well I know a criminal! Erica was furious with the words she heard coming out of officer Harvey's mouth. Criminal, ain't nobody a criminal the info you not seeing is is that he was on meds, he got a disorder, he can't control that no matter what you say! Officer Harvey apologized ,but the truth is he wasn't really sure what to call Erica's father after looking at his record. Ma'am could I please get your name again? Erica gave officer Harvey a agitated look and stated her name again. Erica's mother, and grandmother were in the next room explaining to the police what happened the day before. After investigations the police contacted the family's insurance agent. It would be a couple months before their house would be rebuilt so the agent kept them in a hotel until further notice. Kevin had been in a comma for more than a few days. Never the less the family still continued to see him every other day. As for Erica's father he was sent to rehab to recover from his silent addiction of heroin that the family wasn't aware of. After rehab Erica's father would be locked up. Erica's mother understood that before Kevin's father proceeded to cut him on fire Kevin had been drinking alcohol. " Mam please don't be confused but Kevin had not been receiving drinking alcohol, but he had been drinking rubbing alcohol." Erica's mother heart trembled," but how's he doing so far doc?" " Well we've seen little movement in his fingers and toes, and have been confirmed that he should be waking up soon. Just as the doctors said those words Erica's mother looked over towards Kevin, and asked for some time alone. "Welcome back baby boy, the tears came streaming down as a smirked crawled on her face. Granny's ,and your big sister been praying. We miss you , Daddy's in rehab, he's trying to get a lil better for you. I been praying for God to wake you up a couple of days before your birthday. I wish you could be just as excited as I am. We getting a new house, the money for new clothes came yesterday,when you wake up we going shopping. I been going back to work, mrs Diana got you a lil sum sum for your birthday. But baby just hang in there for Moma. She kissed his forehead touched the palm of his hand and began praying over him. I love you Kevin ,see you tomorrow." While walking out of the room Erica's mother bumped into a man. " Alana , the unfamiliar voice said. James, is that you? It had been years since the two communicated. How you been doing Lana? I'm good I guess. You don't look so good , I was going to grab some food at Lena's, would you like to go with me? Well I can't be out for to long but I guess so. Alana, and James had arrived at Lena's and were seated for two. The two ordered their food and began reminiscing. Alana didn't bother much to tell James what was going on until James saw her breakdown In front of her. James was sad to hear that she was married but happy to hear she was filing for divorce after what her husband did to her and her family. Alana had went to the bathroom to fix herself up a little ,upon Alan's return she apologized to James for actin a fool. James told her to stop being silly. They finished off they're meal and headed out of Lena's. Well thank you James for a lovely meal I hadn't had so much fun in a while, I'll see you around? We can make that happen James said, Alana wait. Could I get your number by chance James asked. The two exchanged numbers and were headed on they're way. Alana had called her mother to see if she was hungry before pulling out the parking lot. On the third ring Joan answered the phone. Girl you know scandal on what you want? Moma I was calling to see if you were hungry? Who got you all happy ? Nobody but James , there was a brief pause in the phone. Alana baby I know you ain't talking bout James Ellen. Yes ma'm I am , now do you want something or no? Yea get me something good , and hang up this phone scandal on. Alana had grabbed her mother a lil something and headed to the dollar store to grab a couple of things before heading back home. Alana unlocked the door and headed straight for the bed.
