Was it a dream ?

Erica woke up drenched in sweat. Harmony knocked at her door twice and entered with Miles following behind. Erica's smile began to stretch across her face. She moved from her bed and got up to hug miles until she noticed how drenched her body was. She looked down and looked up to miles and Harmony's confused faces. She scrunched up her nose and ran to her bathroom. She hopped in the shower. Her mind kept drifting to the dream she had just had. she jumped as the water started to get cold and hopped out the shower. miles lightly knocked on the door and asked if she was okay. erica rapped the towel around her body and told him to come in. He smiled as he noticed her sad face and went in to hold her to his chest.

What's wrong baby? He looked into her eyes. Come on pooh, you can tell me. He started to let her go when she dived in for a kiss. She slowly pulled away when miles started to pull her back towards him her towel slowly dropped as they gradually started to fall into the tub. His hands started to slowly guide over her body as erica reached up for the shower head. as she reached she started to pull when she noticed she had turned the water on instead of grabbing for the handle. they started to scream Harmony jumped from her mommies bed and ran towards the bathroom. Mommy Daddy are you okay, Miles and Erica couldn't help but bust out laughing. Miles threw Erica her towel and helped her out of the tub. Harmony knocked on the door and and waited for them to come out. Harmony stretched her arms up towards her mommy. Erica took Harmony into her arms and started smothering kisses all over her. Harmony leaned her head on Erica's shoulder and giggled as she watched Miles sneak up behind them. Miles smiled devilishly as he crept behind Erica and Harmony. He snatched them into his arms and threw them on the bed. Erica ran and hid in her closet. Erica hurried and changed as she noticed Harmony's laughter had stopped. Erica peeked through her cracked door and waited for Miles to jump out. She threw the towel at miles face as she noticed him motioning closer towards her. she ran to grab harmony. She yelped As miles grabbed her and Harmony and through them on the couch. Miles crept on top of Erica and started to tickle her like a maniac. Harmony jumped on Miles back and yelled piggy back ride. Miles groaned in enjoyment and started to run all over the apartment with Harmony. and yet Miles still was not tired even after Harmony's and Erica's little chase around the house.

Erica sat back and noticed how much she loved these moments with Miles. Having him around had been a blessing every since they were kids, and having him around now was still a blessing. There was always something about him that kept her happy, and he still does now. He motioned for Erica to come towards him with the shake of his finger. She started grinning like a little kid. He picked her up and sat her on his lap.

Erica he said in a husky voice, she looked up at him. I need you to tell me what was going on with you bae. She looked down at her hands and back up at him. She started to lean her head on his shoulder when he kissed her on the cheek. He rubbed her back and held her to his heart. Remember when we were kids he questioned? She shook her head. And remember how we would always open up to each other ? She nodded once again and moved her fingers to his lips. She grabbed his face and started to kiss him she let go as he begged he for another. Miles i... well I've been having dreams about. She looked at her fingers and started to scratch at her hands. Miles placed a hand over her hands and stopped her. I know you don't have to bring it back up okay. Erica asked if he could hold her because she wanted to learn how to get it out without letting the fear hang over her. Miles I hate how Harmony got here, and I loved Nico but why would he ever hurt me like that. Erica's eyes began to burn, why would someone that I loved and cared for try to hurt me so much! What was it that I did to him that made him figure i wouldn't ache from his pain. His grip on her tightened as the memories flooded through his head. I was so cold that night that I knew for sure that I wasn't going to live. And then I heard you, but I couldn't understand why, I didn't want to believe that God spared me. I knew it was my fault, I could've prevented this. he shook his head and told her that you can never be so sure when danger is near, you can only sense it coming. She looked up at Miles, he wiped her tears. Miles I love you, I seriously love you and it's so unconditional. I adorn you, i never knew that you would be the one to continuously stay by my side. He smiled and told her that he was here to stay. I don't plan on going anywhere soon. Erica kissed him and wasn't able to let go. after two minuets the kiss began to deepen and hands started to caress each other, the body heat becoming stronger. Miles started to lay Erica down when a knock sounded at the door. She started to pout as she went to open the door.

Hey dad she said as he walked through the door muddier then a boy after playing in the dirt. He smiled and offered his hello's to Miles and his daughter. Erica went to the bathroom to start a bath for him and mentioned for him to leave his shoes outside the door.

The following days had been slow Miles and Erica hardly saw each other, and everything from there was a huge blur. Miles called to check in, but it was nothing like when he was with them. Erica missed his touch but knew for a fact that she would see him soon.

Erica had been taking college course online and going to work from 5-7. She had extended her hours longer since her dad was living with her. Miles came weekly to check up on them but disapproved when he heard that her dad lived with her. He thought it was best that he stayed in a mental home because Charles was a little special. They had gotten into arguments about it a few times , but he felt it was best for him to keep his distance since Erica never listened to what he said. Miles knew for sure that Erica was struggling to pay the bills and her student loans so he had been saving a little on the side with his own income every two weeks. Miles decided to take a visit to her apartment when he got off. He knocked on the door an waited for some one to answer the door. He waited another five minuets an decided to knock again. He heard Harmony screaming and broke down the door. He looked around and saw Charles passed out and Harmony on the floor crying. Daddy she ran over and hugged his leg. whats wrong baby girl why are you screaming ? Grandad fell out and mommy's not here , I'm scared daddy. its okay baby he picked her up and hugged her. FREEZE put her down now ! Put your hands up now ! The officers forced Miles to the floor and checked him to see if he had anything on him. they had took Charles away on a stretcher , while the officer forcefully placed hand cuffs on Miles Harmony screamed. Daddy, let him go , daddy. Erica had came in worried whats going on ! Baby , baby whats going on Miles just shook his head everything is gone be alright baby i promise I'm going to meet u at the hospital. The officer jerked his shoulder forward gesturing for him to keep moving. Miles didn't put up no fight. They let Miles off with a warning and a apology for disturbing his peace. Luckily he was friends with one of the guys at the station or else they would have registered him as a sex offender. Aye man thanks again it means allot i aint want to be looked at funny by my child or my future wife and her family. Look man it ain't no problem Ightt call me if you need anything else Ightt. Tell your future i said hey, Miles let off a cheesy smile and said alright.

Daddy wake up please , m'am move back please we have to see what the problem is. Erica stepped away she picked Harmony up and called her mom to tell her what was going on. Ok baby ok calm down I'm on my way. Kevin Alana screamed , baby come with me its an emergency. Miles had made it to the hospital before Alana. Harmony rushed to his legs and hugged him. She started to cry while miles picked her up. he rubbed her back baby its okay calm down okay. she laid her head on his shoulder and slowly drifted off to sleep.

I ain't really notice how sexy Miles was till I watched him rock our daughter to sleep. I kept bitting my lip, he turned around and noticed i acted as if I wasn't doing anything and let off a shy smile. He licked his lips and smirked at me. Baby you okay over there? Huh i asked a little shocked that he had noticed that i was bitting my lips. Why you blushing, ooo yea and then he laughed that sexy laugh of his. he cleared his throat ,uh Erica u wanna go somewhere uh saturday? Sure baby thats fine with me. I want u to bring Harmony to if you don't mind. We a family Miles this is our baby she always welcome. I appreciate it baby really i do. Miles looked down into Erica's eyes while she looked back into his. Alana and Kevin never showed up so Erica just went home.

Erica you okay? Yea I'm just not really sure what to do about the situation with my dad. Yea i understand baby, the best thing for you to do right now is be prepared for whatever happens. okay Erica sighed, Erica don't cry baby. Miles wiped her cheek with his thumb, every thing is going to be alright. They hugged for a few more minutes, until Miles broke up the hug with a kiss to her lips. Okay look I'm going to follow u home to make sure u get in safe. Miles blushed uhh you hungry? Yea , oh okay u wanna go get something real quick? Uh sure, were you wanna go? Lets go to Lena's, okay well I'll meet you there.

Table for how many ? three please, she is a really cute baby the waitress complimented. Thank you Erica smiled. she waited for Miles for another five minuets. are you ready to order miss? Um I'm not ready just yet I'm waiting for my boyfriend. Could i get another glass of water? sure I'll be right back with it. Harmony finally woke up from her sleep she looked around. mommy where are we , Erica giggled baby were at Lena's. yes thank God I'm so hungry. Harmony was tiny for five but had a huge apatite.
