"Matt, you're sleeping with me."
Edd said as he looked down at the bruised male. The ginger only shrugged, rubbing his bruised eye. He didn't really question it.
But Edd wanted Matt to sleep with him for a reason.
He knew that Matt was feeling self-conscious. Matt was always worried about his looks, and what Tord did ruined his 'perfect' image. He didn't want Matt to stay up all night trying to make himself beautifal again. Tom hugged himself and sighed as he picked up Ricco. "I'm guessing I'm sleeping with Ricco?" He asked, and Edd grinned. "Yup! He'll keep you company!"
Tom looked down at Ricco as he felt the rough tongue scratch against his cheek. He chuckled and hugged Ricco. "I can get use to this."
Edd smiled wildly. Now, to address the next problem on hand; what was going to be for dinner. He loved Cola and bacon...but they have that so much, that even Edd was getting sick of it! Crazy, right? Matt automatically voted for pizza. He loved pizza. Tom didn't really care, as long as he could eat it, and it wasn't pineapple.
"Pizza it is."
Edd eventually gave into Matt's begging and pleading, and decided to order pizza. As he took out his phone, he turned to the others. "Go explore. Set up things. We need this place to be as comfortable as possible!" He insisted. Tom rolled his eyes. "Aye-aye, sir." He said teasily, before he started to walk. His hands stuffed in his pockets as he walked down the dark and cold hallways. Ricco was right on his heel.
"It's really big, ain't it?"
Tom asked the cat, who only meowed in response. God, was Ricco cute. He picked up the grey tabby and placed him in his hood. "Stay there." He told the cat, smiling as Ricco curled up and started to purr.
"Hm?"
He noticed that the door to the basement was slightly ajar and frowned, his eyebrows furrowed together. Was something down there? Did they already have rats? He opened the door completely as it creeked, and he turned on the basement's light.
The basement was pretty small, filled with empty and old cardboard boxes, some children's toys, a few clothes and blankets, and even some canned food! Why was all of this still here? Ricco mewed softly, as if scared. "Its okay, buddy. It's just a basement. We've seen worse." Tom reassured the cat and slowly walked down the stairs, frowning heavily. This place was setting off all of his alarms. But he tried to ignore it.
"Hello?"
He called out, then smacked himself. Why did he say that?! It wasn't like there was anyone in here! They just moved in! Ricco jumped down and into one of the cardboard boxes, scratching at its side.
"Jeez."
Tom looked down at Ricco and smiled, petting him, as his hand brushed against something. He pulled out a small, old-looking photo that was a picture of a young boy, a boy with short black hair and dull blue eyes. He wore a striped black and white shirt and ripped jeans, and was standing at the edge of the road. In his hand was a old teddy bear. The bear had a bright red ribbon around it, and it was missing one of its eyes.
"Huh...strange. Is this like...someone's aesthetic?"
Tom muttered as he turned the photo over. On the back, written in sharpie, it said; 'Zane and Teddy Wren!' Tom tilted his head. "I shouldn't be looking at this.."
He slid the picture in the box. And turned to leave, hoping that Ricco would follow him, only to bump into something, and look up.
And scream.
(Wren belongs to Rosie on G+ :P)
