I sat in one of the lobby chairs watching her leave through the glass door and walk to her navy blue Toyota car parked across the street.
From Andy🤘🏼- I'm about 6 minutes away
I roll my eyes at the fact that my brother was texting and driving, deciding it was best if I didn't reply. It'd just give him another reason to look at his phone as he was driving. I stood up from the tan old chair and walked around the studio turning off all the back lights and the video monitor.
I locked the dance studio door and stuffed the key I was given in my bag, sitting on the steps waiting for Andy to get here.
I pulled out my phone once again and went to snapchat. I have about 30 different streaks, I'm not popular by all means but I do know quite a bit of people.
I opened a snapchat from Anthony first.
"When will you be home?" Was written on a picture of our basement tv
I took a quick selfie "in the next 10 minutes" and sent it to him
I opened other snapchats that just were about streaks and continued sending out random pictures.
I heard wheels come around and looked up. Sure enough Andy was there pulling the car to a stop. I stood up from the cemented steps, pulled on the studio door handle to double check I locked it then walked over to the car.
I opened the front door to see Alex sitting there looking up at me in a pair of black basketball shorts and a blue shirt with a 'vans' hat on.
"You're in the back" Andy said nodding his head to the back seat
I closed the front door and opened the back one throwing my dance bag and the re fix bag to the other seat, hopped in buckling up.
"How was it?" Andy asked driving away from the studio
"Good I guess, what have you guys been up to?"
"Not much" he went quite for a minute
"We are having a team cookout tonight" he added driving off and down the road
"What time?" I asked grabbing my phone
"Everyone should be there by the time we get there.." he turned down a block just houses away from ours
"Oh.." he made a few more turns before parking a few houses down due to all the cars actually parked in front of our house
"Jeez how many people are coming?" I ask as we all get out and as I grab my bags
"All of Freshman, Jv, and Varsity" they walked ahead to the house as I trailed behind.
I walked in closely behind shutting the door after I stepped in. There was a few people in the living but no one looked at me. I tried to quickly and silently make it to my room with out getting caught. I was five steps up the stairs when someone called me out.
"Fay!" I froze where I was not, turning around
"Come out back" Anthony said from the bottom of the stairs
"Let me go put my bags in my room" I didn't turn around at all and continued walking up the stairs
"okay, just hurry" he walked away, probably to go out back himself
