"What are you doing?"Vienna asked the girls were over my house we were studying that was until my curiosity got the best of me and I went to my computer Vienna had just shown up

"Lydia Vienna and Allison Lydia and Allison Vienna"i introduced them

"Hi"vienna said

"What are you doing?"Lydia asked

"Why are you researching emissaries?"Allison asked

"My dad is hiding something and I wanna know what it is"i said my eyes still glued to the computer

"Why don't you just do the simple thing and ask him?"Vienna said

"He's not gonna tell me he says "I'm not ready"i said running my eyes

"This is boring"vienna adds after a moment

"Exactly now can we please talk about something else?"Lydia asked blocking my line of sight I sighed and sat back in my chair

"Like?"I asked

"Like boys"lydia suggested

"Oh my favorite"vienna said clapping her hands as she sat on my bed

"So which boy are we going to talk about first?"I asked knowing this will be a disaster

"Aiden"

"Stiles"

Vienna and Lydia birth called out2 different names Allison laughed as I shook my head

"why dont we just talk about Scott?"she said I perked up at that

"What about him?"I asked

"I don't know what I should do I mean should I get back together with him or not?"she said I sighed

"Follow your heart"i told but Allison was complicated

"My heart doesn't even know"she said laying down on my bed

"Then listen to your brain"

"Obviously, it's not going to be particularly... Comfortable But if we can slow your heart rate down enough, you'll slip into a trance-like state"my dad explained

"Like being hypnotized"Isaac said

"Exactly You'll be half transformed It'll let us access your subconscious mind"my dad explained further

"How slow does his heart rate need to be?"Scott asked

"Very slow"my dad said

"Okay, well, how slow is very slow?"Derek asked I was sitting on the counter reading a book

"Nearly dead"i said bluntly

"maya"my dad warned

"It's safe, though, right?"Isaac asked I scoffed

"Do you want him to answer honestly?"I asked

"No No, not really"Isaac says I hummed but a loud smack sounded around the room we all looked over to see stiles playing with a glove smiling I laughed which made him look up at us

"What?"he asked Derek raised his eyebrows at him he sighed before pulling it off and in the trash

"Look, if it feels too risky, you don't have to do this"Derek tells Isaac who instead pulls off his shirt he was hot I'm not going to lie but he wasn't my type

I was in my room studying when my door opened I looked up to see Scott

"hi"i said smiling

"hey what're you doing?"he asked me

"homework"i seafood closing my book and setting it aside

"we had homework?"he asked horrified but his face relaxed once I started laughing

"no I'm just kidding I'm studying"i said as i tried calming down he laughs

"what're you studying?"he asked sitting down beside me

"math"i said

"I suck at math"he said I laughed

"everyone sucks at something"he shrugs I sighed turning my body towards his

"I know that's not the only reason you came over"i said he sighs

"today at the clinic you seemed a little off I totally understand if you don't wanna talk about it but I'm here if you wanna talk"he said I sighed again if one of us sighs one more time I'm gonna scream

"my dad is hiding something from me sunshine big and it's really bugging me he says I'm not ready but I am"i explained to him he thought about it for a minute giving me the first chance to look at him correctly his eyebrows furrowed as he concentrated his chocolate brown puppy dog eyes stared up at the ceiling as he bit his lip in frustration his hands interlocked

"I think if deatons keeping something from you that he's trying to protect you"his voice brought me from my daze I blinked rapidly

"from what?"I asked he shrugged

"I don't know"

The next day night I stood by my dresser I picked up the picture I had turned over it was a picture of my mom I took a deep breath and placed it back right I wish she was here things were so much easier with her around I crawled into my bed trying to fight against the tears but they slid down my face anyway I started to cry hoping that no one heard me but wasn't on my side because my door opened my bed dipped I looked to see Scott

"go away I don't want anyone seeing me cry"i said turning my back to him

"I'm not leaving"he said laying down behind me it was an hour later when I peaked over at Scott to see him falling asleep I turned around and lifted his arm cuddling into his embrace

"do you still want me to leave?"he asked me

"don't leave"i said add my eyes started to flutter shut I whispered one last plead to him

"stay"
