Celeste's POV

There is a fire burning bright in the distance. He crawls toward it nursing an injury, scared, trying to flee with his life. He's moving too slow though, they're closing in on him, he collapses and curls into a ball and begins to cry, silently. Suddenly he cries a blood churning cry as a huge dog bites into his arm and starts to tear it, another dog bites into his thigh and pulls, ripping his thigh. Soon more and more dogs began to join this savage feast. Out of nowhere a man whistled, the savage dogs released and returned behind their master. The boy was mortally wounded, probably wouldn't survive, he was missing an eye and a bunch of his hair. You can see where the dogs ripped his flesh and tendons to pieces. The man stands over the boy with a wicked smile then kneels down to search the boys' pockets. It takes a few moments for him to find what he's looking for but when he finds it he pushes down on the body to get up, once he's up he slides what he found in his jacket pocket and chuckles hideously. He then turns around and walks off with his dogs. I start to climb out of my tree that I was watching from and make my way to the crippled dying body and checked to see if I could help him at all. I couldn't, not naturally anyways. Even though I would get in trouble later I fed him my blood. Minutes later he died. I drag his body over to my camp and then set out to get a few animals. After a short while I'd gotten a few and drained their blood into a tin can. I then skinned the animals and cooked the meat over the fire until it was tender. I was packing up my stuff when the boy awoke, I handed him the tin can and told him to drink it. He drank thirstily but stopped suddenly and started gagging as he figured out the taste. I look at him with a smirk and I say, "Sorry, couldn't get you human blood." His eyes got big as he started to panic and tried to get up. I stood up much faster of course and shoved him back down on his ass. He was still panicking, fighting with me still trying to leave. He was scared. I thought to myself briefly, 'I might need to stop wearing masks, it might be scaring him.' "Sorry," I said, "my mask is scaring you huh? I'll take it off." He looks at me with a confused look then says,"It's not the mask, but the fact that I'm a MONSTER!" I smile happily and reply with," you're not a monster, you're just a little fledgling." He frowns, still looking confused. I sighed and explained excitedly, "You're basically a baby vampire!" His eyes get big again and he starts freaking out and fighting me to stand up again. He was strong but I was stronger, I easily held him where he was. I noticed it was getting lighter outside, it's time to go back home. I was nervous about bringing the boy back home, hell, I don't even know his name! Well I guess I better ask him. I look at him to examine how he's healing. He's looking really well so far, plus he's handsome! I bite my lip and study him more. His eyes are mostly gray but they have a sharp blue quality, he has short light brown hair, pale tan skin, a defined face, and a look like he has a question.......oh, wait. I hurriedly say, "Huh?" The boy smiles and laughs, a cute laugh, one that will make you smile. I was blushing, luckily though I had my mask on so he couldn't see that. I was glad he stopped laughing and finally asked his question, "What's your name and why did you do this?" I looked at him and then gathered my thoughts. I smiled and said, "Well, I decided to make you survive instead of die from bleeding out, and we aren't monsters so calm down. Oh, and my name is Celeste." He looked at me assuredly and nodded. Still getting my thoughts in order I said, "We should get going before we burn." I then realized I'd been so caught up in my thoughts I'd completely forgotten an important question I had for him. I asked abruptly, "Wait! What's your name?" He turns and stares at me, grinning, he says, "Garret, my name is Garret."
