The New Fable

Bigby sat in his apartment smoking his cigarette as usual, Colin who laid on the couch coughed a bit as the smoke drifted up his pig noes. "Oh for Christ sake Bigby take it outside will ya..." Colin glared at the other fable who simply ignored him. Bigby was way to tired to put up with the pigs complaining at the moment. "Colin shut the hell up before I send you to the farm..." Bigby muttered in an annoyed tone. Colin sighed and rolled his eyes "And here I thought we were friends Bigby." Colin spoke of course not seriously "Piss off" Bigby snapped he was NOT in the mood for the pigs bullshit at the moment. The sheriff took another huff of his cigarette. Bigby hasn't been sleeping well lately, he's been having these weird dreams about a child ....he didn't understand what they meant...just thinking about it stressed him out and confused him even more. Bigby sighed at his behavior towards Colin , he and of course snow were the only ones to not treat him like complete shit and here he was treating one of his only friends like shit.

"Colin I-" Bigby was cut off by frantic knocking on his door, Bigby looked at Colin who was just as confused he was. Bigby put out his cigarette and stood up from his chair. The frantic knocking continued which annoyed Bigby even more "I'm coming stop knocking!" He yelled as he unlocked the door and swung it open ready to yell at the person "What the hell do you w-" Bigby cut himself off when he saw Snow white at his door her eyes wide and her breathing uneven. "Snow!? you ok what happened??" Bigby asked clearly surprised at the woman's state. "I'll explain on the way Bigby but right now we need to get down to Cranes office right now! " She explained pulling him out the door. "Woah, Snow ok ok! Colin watch the place!" He shouted as he closed the door leaving the fable pig alone on the couch "Well alright then...."Colin spoke to himself shaking his head.

Bigby was practically being dragged down the hall by Snow, the look on her face was ...excited and well he was just confused. "Snow please tell me what's got you so excited?" He asked as the woman turned her head to look at him "Bigby ...Theres a new fabel...She's a wolf just like you.." Snow spoke softly as Bigby's eyes widen in disblief. "Snow how is that even possible?! and how do you even know this?" Bigby asked still not believing a single word the woman was saying to him. How was there a new fable? How is she a wolf like him and how could he have not known about her? Then as Bigby asked those questions in his mind..the dreams started flooding back into his mind. The little girl..."Well i was looking through the fable book and i saw a girl...that i hadn't seen before....i flipped through the book to find her story and well i found her page, it just had a picture of her and her as a wolf...there were no word her story is not completed." Snow explained to a shocked Bigby as she pulled him into Crane's office thankfully the old man wasn't there yet.

Bigby and Snow ran over to the book and opened it and sure enough Bigby's eyes widen at the first page where all the fable's were and when Bigby looked closer he saw a small child hiding behind his leg while he was in his terrifying wolf form. It's like he was protecting her from something or someone. Snow began to flip through the pages and stopped at the page Titled "Clementine" Bigby definitely reconized her now that she looked slightly older she looked about twelve maybe thirteen she had curly dark brown hair that was pulled into two pigtails if she had her down her hair would at least be shoulder length. She had a stone cold look on her face and her eyes were as gold as his the picture of her just stared at him. He felt like he knew her well i supposed he did know her due to the picture of them together. "Bigby do you know her?" Snow asked seeing Bigby stare at the picture of the child fable. Bigby snapped out of his thoughts "Maybe....I'm not sure...yet" He explained as he looked over at the magic mirror "Maybe we can find her on here" He explained causing snow to nod "Good thinking Bigby." Snow replied walking over to the mirror Bigby next to her.

"Magic mirror we have a question." Snow spoke as a face appeared in the mirror green smoke surrounding the face "Snow, Bigby what can i help you with?" He asked "We need you to show us the new fable" Bigby spoke as the mirror sighed "You know the rules Bigby you gotta rhyme"The mirror spoke causing Bigby to glare as he growled a bit "Fucking fine..." He replied trying to think up a rhyme "Uhm...Clementine Clementine the new wolf in town, please show us where she is right now" Bigby ryhmed as Snow smiled at him "Ah you have improved wolf , well a deal is a deal here "The mirror was clouded by green smoke before it cleared showing a girl working in a crappy looking store mopping the floors , It was Clementine. She looked tired like she hadn't slept a wink in a while, There was a toddler strapped on her back as she mopped " Don't worry goofball...maybe if we get enough money from these jobs....we can have a proper meal tonight.." She spoke softly a softe smile on her face as her gold eyes softened as she looked back at the boy on her back. The boy smiled and clapped his hands. before the mirror faded back to green Bigby saw the sign of the place.

"Bigby we gotta help her...poor thing is taking care of a child when she's a child herself!" Snow replied as Bigby nodded "I saw the sign where she's at right now it's called Rusty's grocery store lets catch a cab and hurry" Bigby spoke as Snow nodded "Yeah lets go" The two hurried out of Crane's office and outside hoping to catch a cab. The one thought on Bigby's mind was Clementine and getting her and the boy to safety they were in the slums of New York and it was not a safe place for children....
