"Don't be mad that you did it. Caught your red hands in it."
Danyael
Matchitehew's face was still in tears. When he tried to stop crying, he just cried even more. He was holding my hand against his face. The sight made my heart broke and I wanted to cry. My wolf whimpered for our sad mate and we wanted to do something to make him stop crying. I connected my forehead with his and it seemed to make Matchitehew cry harder. I just laid closely beside him in our nakedness, comforting him with my warmth and touch, telling him I was here. He wasn't alone anymore. He wasn't alone to cry every night thinking of the burden he carried for killing his adoptive father who went insane. He wasn't alone to carry the burden he'd been carrying for how long.
"Ssh. Please don't cry, Mat. It hurts me to see you cry. You're not alone anymore. You have me.", I say.
"F-father a-always w-wanted to see m-my m-mate when I-I found y-you," he sobbed heartbrokenly.
"Ssh. It's okay. Your father is looking down on us now with his human in the Moon Goddess' garden as we speak," I coo gently.
"I-I love y-you...," he sobbed less now, hiccupping softly as he pressed his forehead lightly against mine.
I stiffened. Was it too soon to call it love? I know we had sex already and he marked me, but wasn't that the urges of our wolves...? No... No, it wasn't. I didn't feel my wolf at all during our love making. It was just us. Just us making love, both in wolf and human form. But... Could I really say love?
"I.... I love you too, Matchitehew,"
