A loud squeak coming from the opening of my door caused me to wake up, as it always had every morning. Groaning, I kept my eyes shut, determined to preserve the last few seconds of shut eye that I could recieve this morning when the sounds of familiar giggles began to fill the silence in my room. Smiling to myself knowingly, I continued to keep my eyes closed as the sound of multiple little feet made their way to my bed. Within seconds, the girls began to jump on my bed.

"Wake up, wake up", they shouted.

Making a monsterous sound, I sat up and grabbed the girls on my bed, Emma and Eva, the new twins at the orphanage. My best friend and co- owner of the orphanage assigned them the job of getting every one up in the morning since they got here.

I pulled them on the bed and began tickling them non stop. Their giggles became full blown laughter causing me to join in.

"Ok, ok", I sighed letting them go, "I'll be down in a few", I told them. With simultaneous nods, they scurried out of my room leaving me alone.

I sat up at the edge of my bed, my feet swinging a few inches off of the ground, and I ran my hand over my face before pulling myself out of bed and into the bathroom to do my morning routines. After half an hour tops, I was ready to go.

I slipped my original black and white vans on and jogged out of my room, pulling my hair into a messy high ponytail. The bottom of my shoes tapped against the hardwood floor as I made my way to the kitchen and dining room to see my best friend leaning on the counter of the kitchen, watching ten hungry girls scarf down what she had made.

"Morning", I grinned, hopping onto the counter that she had been leaning on. A chorus of replies came my way from her and the girls.

She handed me a cup of coffee before resuming on her cup of tea.

"Lisa might be getting adopted today", She told me after taking a sip from her mug.

I nodded smiling sadly, "It's going to be quiet without her here", I answered, staring at the ten year old, help Emma cut her pancakes.

She nodded sadly, "But it's your mom's dream to get them all out of here right?".

"Right", I bobbed my head in agreement as I thought about my mom, who was probably still asleep upstairs. Being a foster child herself, it was her dream to help girls like her. Since I was younger, she had this orphanage in mind and it wasn't until about five years ago that her dream came true. She had gotten a major donation for her idea and we moved into a large house with a lot of necessary space. Now we house ten young girls with the help of my best friend Asriel, who moved out of her parents house and to the orphanage once she hit eighteen.

"Well I got to go to work", I announced, "Hurry so you guys don't miss the school bus ".

In one quick run, I pecked them all on their foreheads to signal my love, gave Asriel a quick hug and grabbed what I needed before running towards the door. "Wait, wait", a small voice called out to me as I unlocked the door.

I turned around to see Zora, the youngest girl here at five years old, run toward me with a small colored box in her hand.

"You forgot about our daily challenge", she reminded me with a toothy smile.

"Oh right, how could I forget", I chuckled.

It was an idea I created a little while after she got into the home. With her anxiety being so bad, I made challenges that she enjoyed accomplishing that also helped her out a bit.

I dug into the box and pulled out a small folded sheet of paper. I opened it and in her cute messy handwriting it read, "Do sumthin you wudnt without thinking". Smiling at her errors, I read it allowed to her before handing her the paper.

"Got it", I assured.

Her smile grew, "Dont forget the proof", she told me as I kissed her forehead for the second time. "You bet", I called out before running out of the door and on my way to the diner.
