Josie's POV:

"Who was that?" I ask Charlie, my cashier.
"I don't know, boss. She was weird, though." He says, putting all of the socks back. I chuckle and grab a pair of white knee socks with blue anchors on them. I jog outside and see the girl on a bench, crying.
I go over to her and hand her the socks. "Here, take these." I say, smiling at her.
She looks up. When the girl sees them, her eyes go wide and she grabs them, and happily puts them on. I smile at her as she stands and spins around.
"Thank you!" She shouts, hugging me.
"Oh, no problem... Do you wanna come to my house, have some tea or something?" I ask.
"Sure!" The girl shouts.
I walk back to the shop. "Hey, Charlie. Can you hold the fort here? I have... Something to do." I say, awkwardly. He nods and I go back to the girl.
"So... Do you wanna walk or do you wanna ride in my car?" I ask.
"What's a... Car?" She asks. I raise an eyebrow and gesture to it.
"Woah..." She says, sprinting towards it.
"Yeah... Its a 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK..." I explain, awkwardly.
"I thought you said it was a car." She says, looking at me.
My insides suddenly turn fuzzy when I look into her golden eyes.
"U-Um..." I say, my cheeks becoming uncomfortably warm.
"What's wrong? Your face is pink. Are you sick?" She asks.
I shake my head. "No... I'm fine. Let's go." I say, opening the door for her. She gets in and I get in as well.
I turn on the radio and one my favorite songs comes on. All We Do by Oh Wonder.

The girl looks at me funny.
I turn down the volume. "What?" I ask her.
"You're voice is amazing."
I shake my head. "No, its not." I tell her, looking back at the road.
"Yes it is." She says.
I sigh and pull into my driveway.
"Come on." I say, smiling.
I get out of the car and open her door. She gets out and I lead her inside.
