Chapter 21-We're all going on a summer holiday

Few weeks later-The final week of GMM and Rhett surprises Link with a quick romantic holiday getaway.

Rhetts POV

"So we hope all of you mythical beasts have a great summer and we will be back in August with brand new episodes and guest stars and lots more mythicially! Thank you for being your mythical best!" Link pointed and smiled at the camera, making me smile as well. The camera flicked off and the crew cheered.

"Thank you so much guys! Once the episode is loaded you can all head home for the summer!" I called to everyone in the the room. I grabbed hold of my keys and jacket from under the desk.

"You ready?" I looked over at Link. He gave me a quick peck on the lips.

"Let's go big boy." We waved bye to the crew and left the building and into the car.

"So what now? We have the whole summer to ourselves!" Link smiled and grabbed my hand. The promise ring glistened on his hand.

"Well I have been keeping a secret from you..." he looked straight at me with a mix of worry and confusion. I chuckled at him.

"Remember how you said you wanted to go to Paris? Open the compartment..." he leant forward and opened the compartment in front of him. Two plane tickets fell out onto his lap. His eyes started to tear up.

"Oh my god...when do we leave?" He turned and faced me. I drove onwards.

"Our flight? It's tonight. We need to rush home and pack and go as fast as we can!" We pulled into the driveway and jogged into the house.

"We are only going for ten days so pack enough outfits. Our flat has a washing machine there. It also has a pool so pack swimsuits and anything else you need." We dashed around frantically picking up bits and bobs that we needed.

"You ready?" I looked over to Link who was standing at the front door with a huge luggage bag.

"Let's go!"

One flight later (about 9pm France time)

Links POV

"And this is your rooms and anything you need you have my details." The woman handed us our flat keys and left without another word. Rhett flopped down onto our king sized bed, smiling.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself..." I rolled my suitcase to the end of the bed and looked down at Rhett who had his eyes closed.

"Rhett? You haven't fallen asleep already have you?" I crawled onto the bed and straddled over him.

"Maybe a kiss will wake my prince..." I leant over him and kissed him passionately. He smirked into the kiss and wrapped his arms around me.

"Why don't we go and check out the pool?" Rhett sat up. I nodded and opened my case. I pulled out my swimsuit and started to undress. Suddenly I felt a sharp slap on my backside and squeaked. Rhett laughed and headed to the front door. I grabbed slipped on my swim trunks and grabbed a towel before jogging after him. We walked down a single set of stairs to reveal a pool lit by blue fairy lights. We closed the gate behind us and noticed we were completely alone.

"How cold is it?" I threw my towel on a lounge chair. Rhett walked forward to the pool and leant forward. I ran forward and jumped on top of him, pushing us both into the pool. Water covered both of us, making my hair flop over my eyes. I shot back up and laughed. Rhett splashed water in my face. We swam around a while, having the entire pool to ourselves.

a few hours later

"What time is it linkster?" I clambered out the pool and looked at my phone.

"It's gone past midnight." Rhett leant over the edge of the pool and looked up at me. I looked down at him.

"You look so beautiful with these lights." I grinned.

"You know...there's one thing I never got to do growing up and I've always wanted to do it..." Rhett tilted his head. I stood back and removed my swim trunks.

"Skinny dip!" Rhett laughed at me and ran and jumped in. He clambered out and copied me. We swam over and met each other in the middle.

"I love you!" Rhett smiled as water dripped down his face.

"I love you too."
