I woke up to my phone buzzing. I looked at the time. 7:56 a.m. I looked at my phone and saw 20 text messages from my best friend, Taylor. 

-text message convo-

Taylor🤙: LILLY WAKE UP (x20. I'm too lazy to write all 20 messages)

Me: what? you're ruining my beauty sleep!

Taylor🤙: YOUR BOYFRIEND IS CHEATING ON YOU!

Me: hahaha, nice try tay.

Taylor🤙: I'M NOT JOKING! HERE LEMME SEND YOU A PICTURE

-sends a picture-

My heart almost stopped. The picture showed my boyfriend kissing a blonde haired girl. My blood started to boil. 

Me: where'd you get this?

Taylor🤙: I was at some club with some of my friends. Apparently, he was there, too.

Taylor🤙: You okay?

Taylor🤙: Lilly?

-end of text message convo-

I didn't want to talk to anyone. I hugged my pillow and sobbed into it. I cried for a good 45 minutes. I wiped my tears and checked the time. 8:41 a.m. I got ready to get the furniture. My eyes were puffy from crying. But I didn't want to cover it up. I sat on the couch and just stared at the emptiness of the apartment. Time, surprisingly, went by quickly because the next thing you know someone was knocking on my door. 

I got up to open it and saw Tyler standing there. 

"Hey," he said.

"Hi," I said miserably.

"Woah, you ok?" He must've noticed my puffy eyes.

"No, not really,"

"You wanna talk about it?" He looked so cute when he's worried.

"I'll be fine. Let's just pick up the furniture."

We picked up my bed and dropped it off at my apartment. Tyler made little jokes to lift up my mood. It helped a bit. I almost dropped the table because I was laughing too hard. After 3 hours, all the furniture were in place and my apartment was complete. Tyler and I slumped next to each other on the couch.

"You know what, next time I move, I'm moving in with someone," I announced.

"Me too," Tyler agreed.

"Thanks, by the way,  for helping me,"

"Ah, no problem. Oh, and I put my number on your phone. You should really change your password. 1-1-1-1 isn't going to cut out."

"Hey!" We started laughing. We decided to rest for a while. But our peace was ruined by Leo the peace destroyer. He banged on the door. I walked to the door, groaning, while Tyler was laughing. I opened the door and Leo ran in.

"Everyone meet my new girlfriend!" He exclaimed. 

"She's his first one since kindergarten," Tyler whispered into my ear.

"Kindergarten?" I asked.

"Yup, she was imaginary," 

"I HEARD THAT!" Leo yelled. Tyler and I laughed. Tyler put his arm around me. I let him. I just hope I wasn't blushing. A girl came through the door. Her skin was tanned and her hair was curled.

"This is my girlfriend, Audrey," Leo said. 

"Nice to meet you, Audrey," Tyler and I said.

"Hi," she said. Maybe she's shy, I thought.

"We're about to go on our first date today," Leo announced enthusiastically.

"Have fun and be back before 9," Tyler said. I laughed. A lot of laughter today even though my boyfriend cheated on me.

After they left, Tyler and I sat on the couch and watched some TV. Eventually, I fell asleep, smiling.
