What's wrong with me, I wonder.
I need to concentrate, I'm such a bad friend, I haven't heard a word that my friend Voilet is saying for about the past 30 minutes.
I really need to look away before he catches me, but its near to impossible just the way he walks has me memorised, the way he laughs how his whole body seems to move with every motion he does, how full of life he is.
My eyes stay fixed on him.
Until a very rude person gives me a unpleasant slap.
I look up my eyes landing on my best friend.
"What the fuck, why would you do that, you had no right" I ask.
Violet ingoring what I said says "it's obvious you like him you know." she says.
"What" I say pretending I don't know what she's talking about.
Maybe that will get her off my case.
Violet lets out a loud sigh saying "you have this dreamy look on this face and everytime he moves your eyes follow him it's quite interesting to watch really."
I pull my eyes away from Cade and say "well it's not like your going to help me get over him"
"You need to talk to him, you have literally never said a word to the love of your life" she says throwing her hands up into the air.
I shake my head "first of all he's not the love of your life and second of all I can't do that he has a girlfriend."
Violet looks she might give up for a second then she says "but he could like you better and dump her for you."
I mutter "that's not happening."
Violet eyes soften and she starts saying "don't doubt yourself, your worth so much more than you give yourself credit-."
"That's enough Violet I get it let's move on please" as much as I love my best friend I don't need a lecture about how I'm worth it when I wonder sometimes am I really.
She looks like she's about to argue but seeing the look on my face she softens up and we thankfully move on to a different topic.
