'I don't need no help, I can sabotage me by myself'

Reese and Tony finally get around to having a conversation!! Girl really needs to sort her daddy issues (the Loki fiasco probably takes priority though I suppose)

Enjoy & thank you for reading!!

{reese's POV}

We got back to the base with a few minor cuts and scrapes, sixteen men in handcuffs and a complete loss of energy. I for one stayed passed out the whole journey back, and was only awoken when we touched back down in New York.

I grunted and dragged myself off the seat, from the jet and into the entrance of the compound. It was coming up to midnight by this point, and I'd been awake since seven. I didn't know where I was gonna sleep, and it was hardly like I had an apartment to go back to anymore.

There was a group of agents waiting for us when we got in. They took the group of newly arrested men and took them into holding, presumably to get information about Loki from. We had no luck finding him in London, and Wanda had returned from Paris, also empty handed.

'Good job, team.' Coulson greeted us. 'Hopefully, with these men, we'll make some progress towards finding Loki. You're done for tonight, though. You're wanted in the meeting room at nine so get some sleep.'

Everyone headed for the gear room to the left of the lobby we were in - aside from me. I had no clothes, no bed and no idea where to go. I knew SHIELD would probably just leave me to fend for myself but even this was insulting.

'You look lost,' my father appeared next to me. 'And tired. You did an amazing job back there, though.'

'Thanks,' I muttered. Tony nodded awkwardly and began walking away, before I realised he was my last attempt at asking for a bed for tonight.

'Stark, wait!' I called. He spun around, looking oddly hopeful. 'I don't know where I'm sleeping, and I don't have any clothes. You think you might be able to...uh, help?'

'By all means,' He replied. 'Follow yours truly.'

I hesitated for a moment but followed anyways. We went up in a lift to the office that Steve had locked me up in earlier that day. One of the doors off of there lead to an apartment. The kitchen alone was twice the size of my former one and some of the furniture was probably more expensive than anything I could dream of affording.

The anger towards him that I'd managed to restraint for the last few hours flared back up - if he'd given a shit when I was twelve, I could have grown up in a place like this. Even a bit of child support might have helped. He clearly had money but he never even tried. Tony didn't have an excuse.

Maybe if he'd stepped up as a parent and actually done something, I would have turned out differently.

'You look angry.' He observed. 'I know nothing I can say will make you change your thoughts on me-'

'- You're right.' I sniffed.

'Think about the position I was in, Reese.' He began to talk faster. 'I could barely look after myself.'
